Other Clubs Transfer Window 2025-2026.

Is he any good at playing the ball out from the back?

If he's not I really don't understand this signing.

The weirdest part is, the original rumour was “City will sign him if they lose one of their keepers”

So if Ortega went he’d come in as backup, if Ederson went he’d come in as a £40m backup? Or he’d come in as first choice?

I know Burnley had a mad defence last season but this lad is just not at that level.

You’re telling me Rashford is gonna go from £350k p/w to £95k to sit on the Barcelona bench? Interesting.

Will geometry also be in Spanish?

Is it not £350k pw to £190kpw? He’s hardly on £350k net?!

Some come down from Barca from Nico to him tho. Would he even get into their team? Surely it’s financial suicidal for Barca to pay nearly £200k pw gross for a player that doesn’t improve them!

Whatever financial nonsense they’re doing they’ve gone from Raphinha as first choice to having Nico Williams amazing) to a loan for… Rashford

Is there an argument that the Barcelona lifestyle, coinciding with leaving behind the noise of Manchester/UK, might offer Rashford some extended respite from his personal issues?

As someone who has been to both cities, the contract between the two "atmospheres" shouldn't be ignored imo.

I think there’s less pressure for him at Barça than at ManYoo overall - yes there is media pressure in Spain but Marcus won’t be the focal point of it compared to what he has experienced in England.

Footballing pressure will be high simply because of the obvious with this being a big opportunity for him to resurrect his career and minutes will have to be earned under Flick. Moreover, there are youth players from Masia (Virgili in particular + Roony) who will be pushing for winger minutes in addition to Raphinha, Ferran, Fermin & Lamine that will be surely fighting for minutes. Then there’s Flick who will have a meritocracy in terms of those minutes and that means Marcus will have to fight hard for those minutes

His versatility to play anywhere along the front attacking line means he can even get Lewy’s minutes

Change in club culture, language and playing style also means it takes time to adapt which is good that he will have a proper integration in the pre-season tour ahead of new season

I have to believe the player is very motivated, we’ll see how he performs

Also United have got a problem player off their books, wages paid in full and they are also demanding compo from Barca if they dont take up the purchase offer.

Nice work, Barca yet again showing the world what morons they are.
Yet still are paying £71m for Mbuemo

Romano saying Barcelona paying Rashford €14m for the year, so about £230k a week. A lot of money on someone who will surely spend more time on the bench. I hope it works out for Rashford though, don’t mind the guy and it’s good that he is getting away from United given his situation there.
