Skill issue, not a preseason issue. We hear this nonsense every single pre-season that it doesn’t matter, we then proceed to lose our opening 3 games while looking miles off the pace of our opponents. It’s a tiring cycle.

You need height (or a Cahill who plays 6” taller) elsewhere for set pieces at both ends which has been important in every Moyes team. We definitely need at least one, ideally two more taller starting/bench options even if we put O’Brien back at RB to help. The lack of height outside the two positions where you need height?

When Dwight got injured in preseason (a player many don't rate) and Branners (can't remember if it was preseason or the first game) we suffered massively to start the year. I would wager we are trying to avoid killing our season before it starts.
We will, maybe, its just that the season will have already started by then.Well if it’s a skill issue then why aren’t we buying players with better skills?

Yeah fair enough, wouldn't put it in the same priority category as the pace and creativity but yeah it would be surprising to me if Moyes didn't want a bigger option than the likes of Ndiaye and Alcaraz for that 10 position. Not true. And Branners missing time screwed us. So we are trying to avoid injuries. It would be a mistake not to make big signings, but preseason literally means nothing. The team is half arsing it.Dwight is crap and Branners was already injured before we started pre season.
What a post !

Accept this, then the anger will be reduced.
In the summer of 2017 Ronald Keoman spent over 100m on a number of players, we were unbeaten in preseason, we beat Stoke 1-0 in our first League game, then we broke our transfer record on a certain number 10 from Iceland, we then went 3 months without winning a game.Yeah that’s not acceptable though mate.

Nothing other than signing football players right now will Mike.Ok, none of that has convinced me that we don’t need to start signing football players right now.
same s**t year in year out if they don’t invest in new players we will be in the championship next year where most of our team belong. The recruitment in this football club is atrocious Patterson, kean, mylenko, Gardner, alcaraz, beto, iroegbanam, Chermiti the list goes on how come other teams can bring in cheap players and they thrive yet we just get the bottom of the barrel that can’t even make it in championship.
