Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

So your saying our football recruitment staff had players lined up in Jan, and Moyes knocked them on the head? Only aware of Tom Fellows and Wesley as being lined up in Jan before we turned away.

Id take Wesley now, and wouldn't be surprised if we signed Fellows this window.

Personally can't see Moyes paying too much attention to what the new transfer committee folk say.
😂😂😂 of course he will have to take notice, they will most likely still be here after Moyes has gone.

As you say Moyes said no to fellows in January and apparently Everton haven’t been back in touch. McAtee is one we definitely want

If the poster is saying he jibbed what Thelwell/Purdy liked up in January, then there's no reason why he wouldn't do it again until the Leeds United transfer consultant and co we brought in.

I recall he banned West Hams DOF from their training ground.

Nobody will come in unless Moyes wants them. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up for debate.

Kubo would be my main target if Sociedad are even interested in selling in the first place. He checks the boxes on the right and I think he is actually gettable. I just doubt we are actually after him. RB is definitely the position of interest, but we have to identify a realistic target first and actually make a bid. Missing out on Tete will be a big miss if we don't fill the void. I can see us trying to go into next season by doubling down on the 3 CB formation with O'Brien on the right. In that case we can bring in another mobile attacking CB or go for a two-sided winger or central mid with ability to fill the role. Just make sure it makes sense and don't leave a massive void there. Patterson and Coleman can't be the only ones.

"Newly emboldened summer plans"

Have things changed dramatically recently ?
Have they just found out the price of selling the Women's team to themselves ?

If that is anywhere near correct that's one helluva budget.
I believe it when I see it...if we had that budget surely it wouldn't be a problem getting the players we want.

Ok let see, TFG have said we won’t be spending money on players over a certain age.
And we all know Moyes would love soucek. Like at West Ham spending 54mil on 29yr old ward prowse, that won’t be happening at Everton mate. And is this the DOF that was still there after he’d gone ??

Im saying the list of players thelwell came up with for dyche and Moyes was all but rejected by them apart from alcaraz of course.

You might like the players that thelwell liked but that doesnt mean moyes likes them or they fit into his system. If the DoF and manager dont see eye to eye on player recruitment one of then has to go and it wasnt going to he the manager we literally just brought in.

Thelwell with potter may of been a match made in heaven but we got moyes and it ultimately it didnt work out and thelwells reputation took the hit.

Yeah plans around the women's team might be implied there. Certainly if we did make such a sale 150m would be a very achievable budget within PSR limits.
