I must clarify I don’t think this shitshow of a window is Moyes’ fault and I think he’ll be fuming at barely having a squad to take to the US right now.

I think it’s funny that people are so concerned with paying KWP £90k a week, which is £4.68m per year. Let’s say we sign him on a 3 year deal, so it costs us £14.04m in total.

If we had to pay a fee for him, last year we were linked with him and the fee mentioned was £8m, so let’s say we paid that and signed him on contract of £38.5k a week for 3 years, which is a total cost of £6m, most people would say “that’s a decent deal”. But actually they are exactly the same in terms of cost to the football club.

The promoted sides all going down is a very recent thing tbh, it’s happened twice in like 25 years or so.

Just need to look at the table last season to see relatively recently promoted sides that have sailed past us.

I think it was probably a 50/50 split in the fan base. Regarding Moyes coming back and while he did a good job last season, if this window goes bad he could be in trouble and under pressure from the 1st game.
