Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Interesting that we went for Wesley in Jan, more interesting is that with that and Alcaraz, we were active in the South American market probably more then ever.

"Do they still need a new addition there?"

What a strange question to ask after stating that we have tried, and failed, to sign a new right back on two separate occasions.

That's like sending back shoes that don't fit and deciding that you'll just go round barefoot actually.

And Garner at a pinch.

We need a left back more in my opinion mate.
Need a left back who can play right back as well.

That's what we need.

What happened to the AI (Football statistics) company we brought on board to highlight these players for us in an instant saving us time and money googling these players?

Piece of piss being a journo these days isn't it. Paid to write absolute obvious tosh.

Maybe our friends on here desperate to be angry over a football club in the middle of its off season might consider their anger could be better served by some therapy than, oh I don’t know, demanding foreign footballers they’ve watched on YouTube.
Some people just like something to froth over I think.

As they should though, there's no way Walker-Peters is worth 120k a week.

How about if we give him a 4 year deal on £55k per week and a £7.5m signing on bonus, would that be better?

I know it’ll work out the same but in reality, yes. It probably would (not that I’d be keen to be giving him a £7.5m signing on bonus). That scenario would certainly help with regards to wage demands from other players. Although the impact of players running down contracts more and more is also something clubs need to consider.
He might want a signing on fee on top of the £90k a week

He might be a good egg and a good journalist but all he's doing here is filling his weekly words quota. Nothing he's told us is news to anyone.
To be fair that's why it's not a piece of piss doing it, people expect you to provide them with news even when there isn't any, and somehow end up blaming you for telling them things they don't want to hear as if you reporting it is what made it happen.

Bit disappointing that not a single creditable report has dropped this week. I'm just hoping that the club are more advanced on players than anyone realises..
