Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

If we do sign Harrison, then I dont want to see Moyes shaking his head and cursing when Harrison hits a corner straight into the side netting, like he did last season.

It would help if people had a general concept of how player trades worked. It’s not like a video game where some spreadsheet of available players is published. And our new staff seems good at keeping info in-house.

What we see currently is 85% speculation published for clicks and 15% agent puffery to manufacture interest.

Remember we’ve been equally convinced Alcaraz wasn’t being signed, Doucoure was extending, and Kyle Walker had agreed terms.

Any leak is going to come from the player side, like it did with Alcaraz’s loan. Either somebody in their circle, their agent, or their club. Looking locally for leaked info before terms are agreed is going to be a frustrating effort.

We’ve got money to spend. TFG spent at Roma and will spend here. There are limits because of our league position, lack of Europe, competition, common sense, and PSR.

We’re going to sign 5+ more and loan a couple. Some will be more expensive and some will be cheaper journeymen or unproven prospects.

I know he didn’t say we would get them. My point is id rather he didn’t say it because imbeciles of other clubs will use it regardless and we have had enough ridicule over the years.

Let the clubs actions speak for a change.
Literally the only fans I've heard say it are Everton fans. I'm not sure why we keep repeating the line when we know it's not what he said..

I was talking hypothetically, how things can get twisted and deliberately ridiculed.

That is why I rather he said little or nothing regards to aspirations of the future or anything of that nature for the time being. Just let the clubs actions do the talking.

But he did say and your issue is that because he said something which our fans keep misquoting, other clubs, who are not even remotely arsed about what Moyes said, will use the misquote to ridicule us, because our own fans keep saying it.

Transfer season is so silly.
