It would help if people had a general concept of how player trades worked. It’s not like a video game where some spreadsheet of available players is published. And our new staff seems good at keeping info in-house.
What we see currently is 85% speculation published for clicks and 15% agent puffery to manufacture interest.
Remember we’ve been equally convinced Alcaraz wasn’t being signed, Doucoure was extending, and Kyle Walker had agreed terms.
Any leak is going to come from the player side, like it did with Alcaraz’s loan. Either somebody in their circle, their agent, or their club. Looking locally for leaked info before terms are agreed is going to be a frustrating effort.
We’ve got money to spend. TFG spent at Roma and will spend here. There are limits because of our league position, lack of Europe, competition, common sense, and PSR.
We’re going to sign 5+ more and loan a couple. Some will be more expensive and some will be cheaper journeymen or unproven prospects.
