Lads we've probably got our shortlist but for whatever reason aren't available now. Say for argument sake Kubo is our no1 target and we've agreed a deal with sociadad. Now they say they want a replacement in before releasing him so what can we do?. We can say that if they don't sell him today we're pulling out. They'll tell us fine do one. So we go onto our 2nd and 3rd choice same carry on.

But we go down the list to Jimmy Nomark who plays for the dog and duck who is available right away. But he's not the player we really want and not at the level of Kubo. Wouldn't it make sense to just see the course and get the player you really want, even if it means they're not in for the first 1-2 games of the season?.

We'll get players in I'm sure of it but we might have to go late to get the ones that count.

If what we are reading is true and we are interested in bringing back Harrison can anybody please explain to me what they think Moyes sees in him that the best part of 40,000 fans can't. If it is true and we need to spend £10m. on him what a waste of money that could be spent on a much better player or at least put the money towards a better player.

I think at best he’s been considered as a possible fall back/squad filler. All the reports at the end of the season said Moyes doesn’t rate him and doesn’t want him so I’d imagine that’s still the case. Probably agent noise tbh.

Not great for many at the moment. Thankfully for me the xS was much lower so they are doing alright.

Talking about needing to build the club back up. Yes we need elite players, but so does every club. He also didn’t say we would get them, it’s just what we need.

I know he didn’t say we would get them. My point is id rather he didn’t say it because imbeciles of other clubs will use it regardless and we have had enough ridicule over the years.

Let the clubs actions speak for a change.

Yesterday a poster was baffled why we haven't thrown 65 million on Morgan Gibbs-White or 90 million on Ekitike , suggesting that if we ponied up those rather modest amounts of money we'd have no other difficulties attaining those players

But we are continually been told by the media that Moyes loves him.

Newcastle managed to sign Guimarães when they were 18th in the league, not saying we should be but it can be done if you can sell a project well.

Yeah they play two games in Japan Monday and Friday of next week so like you say even if something were in motion it wouldn't happen until after that.

They also signed him on the last day of the January transfer window proving that quality players might need a little time to buy into a new project

O'Brien should be starting alongside Branthwaite this season - Tarkowski has a few mates last season and at 33 and with pretty much the first major injury of his career i dunno why we'd not be looking at making the switch over - factor in he's probably our second highest earner also and in the last year of contract.
