Other Clubs Transfer Window 2025-2026.

Newcastle seemingly having a tough window with teams stealing their players. If only it’d knock their fans down a peg or two, but I doubt it.

Think the Newcastle bid was about 70 mill. Liverpool going higher than that presumably. Chequebook fc once again.

World record fee for a goal keeper
World record fee for a centre back
British transfer record for any player and most expensive midfielder
Most expensive fee for a striker currently in the league

Not bad for the old socialist reds who can’t compete with the oil clubs.

Mates just said there are rumours doing the rounds with some of them that they will look to go for Rodrygo as well. If true and presuming each will be about 80m minimum they could be looking close to 400m spent this window.

I know they are the right side of PSR after a few quiet windows, and have a rapidly ageing squad, but this level of spend makes me think they might be expecting a transfer ban in the next 6-12 months.
Any idea what charges/investigations they are facing at the moment?

This is actually a disgrace if true, honestly I know it’s the Mags and they’re our rivals - but swap them for my club, or anyone else, and I’d still think it’s disgusting.

You shouldn’t be shocked at liberpewl fc tapping players up mate, that’s been their modus operandi for decades. Virgil van Bader was tapped up big style, Barmby and Xavier from us back in the day, they should have been hammered for it but have got away with it for ever.

Glad Saudis have told them no bueno for poonez.

Look at wirtz, seems the rs were onto him annd his angents just after the winter transfer window had shut. Lad wasn’t looking to go til the rs flashed him their knickers.

It’s a complete change in approach.

No more moneyball or data driven signings. This is just throwing astronomical fees at players seemingly from a fans fantasy football list. If you’d have asked their fans this summer who would they have had for LB RB striker number 10, almost every one would have said Kerkez, Frimpong, Isak, Wirtz, and that’s pretty much who they’ve gone after paying ginormous fees for them.

Its what they do. But they love to paint this picture of themselves as snow white.
I cant believe more hasnt been made of them publicly tapping up isak. All this "liverpool would like it to be known if isak becomes available"
Lol
They're tapping up the player through the media.

It’s a level of expenditure which demands they win the PL and CL. Anything less is a failure with that spending, it’s absolutely astronomical. City and Newcastle two of the richest clubs in the world are baulking at fees that Liverpool are just blowing out the water. They’re behaving like the richest club in Europe so nothing less than winning the biggest pots should be accepted.

Any excuse of net spend, transition, moneyball, Coutinho money etc. won’t wash. They’ve gone out to win an arms race against the UAE and Saudis and try and buy the champions league.

They'll win the PL again as they've strengthened further and no one is anywhere close enough to competing.

Whether they'll challenge the CL this season is another thing.

Whether or not you like women's football it's a landmark deal for the sport and shows that there's been growth in the sport which is only a good thing especially for financial viability of things like our own women's team moving into Goodison
