Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Got some decent stats, 5 goal contributions in a relegated team. He did create 50 goal scoring chances playing as an AM, occasionally as a CM/ LM, hopefully with Beto or Barry on the end of things, he will get a few more assists. For the money, 22.5m, I dont think its bad for the level of player. I just hope if we sign him, we play him in the AM role, rather than trying to put him wide right

Private Jet took off from JLA and landed in Chester.

Another private jet just arriving into Chester from Palma

All within 10-15mins.

Not sure at all why this is relevant.

Nothing new.

Juventus have asked for at least €40 million for the transfer of Douglas Luiz, a valuation that reflects the midfielder's value and unlikely to be lowered, along with an obligation to buy. Everton, in need of strengthening their midfield, is ready to begin negotiations, but will have to contend with Juventus' determination to obtain a reasonable transfer fee.

Douglas Luiz, for his part, appears willing to leave Juventus in search of greater consistency. Everton represents an attractive destination, where the Brazilian could find the starting role he lacked in Turin. However, Juventus remains firm in its position, ready to evaluate all incoming offers.

You don't have to read the entire forum, but when a post is a reply to someone else I'd say it's probably worth reading the original post so that you understand what the conversation is actually about before you jump in.
I understanding you perfectly but completely disagree. That is possible you knowm

I'm just not sure he's that good. He's good, and as long as he's fit he could be an excellent signing for us, but it feels like people are elevating him to a level that he's never really been at. He didn't make the grade at City and Juve (who are a massive club but not one of the biggest in recent terms) haven't been convinced either. He's spent a few years at Villa and a couple of them they were in the bottom half. He only has 18 Brazil caps. Like I say, he's a very good PL player, but people seem to keep talking about him as if he's some sort of incredible global megastar and he just isn't really.

I think you are right, but its has ability on the ball really. Juventus & Man City & Brazil play WITH the football most of the time...and truth is he was good at Villa as they played without it most of the time...and thats his best asset realy, I would say similar to Gana - So he would look good for us imo.

Its the same with Palhinha at Bayern from Fulham - Just not good enough on the ball for Euro leagues OR teams that want the ball 60-70% of the time.

Bayern & Juve dont really need defensive midfielders in that sense - they rather a deeper playmaker.

Good enough for us now in the prem - Yes all day long.
In the future if we get to the top end, maybe not.

Also - for me to be a success in the prem, you need pace and power, athletism more than actually on ball talent, why so many dont cross either way to well.
