Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

18 Brazil caps sounds pretty good to me! As you said a very good premier league player, if he is the same player and wrecked with injuries. Would be happier with an initial loan and obligation once conditions are met (i.e performances), but probably worth the risk if €30m can be believed.
Bernard. 14 Brazil caps.

It is good. Again, the point is only that I think people are slightly overegging what level of player he is not that he's not very good.

What even is an elite player? Surely all premier league players are elite players/athletes.
Except maybe a few that slipped through the net but after milking it for a few years on wages that were too high and contracts that were too long are no longer with us 😉

Unless you'd put Michael Keane and Kylian Mbappe on the same level, you've probably answered your own question here.

Bring him back, only 32 and a left winger exactly what we need 😜
I remember having such high hopes for him 🥹
I think we all wanted a Digne Bernard partnership to lessen the loss of Baines Pienaar, but it was not to be. Worth noting it's a different feat making chances for Yakubu and Lukaku than it is for Sandro and Niasse.

I think what my fellow toffs are referring to as a marquis

I've already replied to you once this morning agreeing with this exact point? Do you ever read posts in context or do you just start bashing away at the keyboard straight away? That post was in reply to someone asking what's wrong with him and why other clubs weren't banging the door down for him, I'm just saying I don't think there's anything 'wrong' with him and it's just the level of player he is. Like I said in the very post you're replying to, I think he could be an excellent signing for us, you don't have to convince me of that. The point is just that i'm not shocked that he isn't being linked with Real Madrid, PSG, City etc, I think he's a very good player but someone that isn't - and never has been - out of our league.
😂 Calm down mate. No, I don't read the entire forum before responding to a post. I'm not shocked that you're no shocked that he's not being linked to Real Madrid. Most people take it as red that we are not in competition with those clubs for players so it doesn't really need to be said. But keep saying it if it makes you happy.

It's a good question.

Off the top of my head - Elite PL midfield players include :
Rodri
Rice
Odegaard
McAllister
Guimares
Fernandez
Caicedo
B. Fernandes

I'm sure there are others that I can't recall.

I'd put Luiz in the tier below those guys with the likes of Joelinton
Pacqueta
Wharton
Gibbs-White
Merino
