Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

" these things take time "
" what do you expect "
" psr"
" European football"
" at least we kept Branthwaite "

Excuses are endless. Another ownership are being allowed to " take their time" and quietly put prices up , invent memberships and not say boo to the fans. If we continue to diminish their accountability, we won't do a
" newcastle" or a villa, city etc .
We will be happy with michael Keane simple as.
We just bought a 30 million striker a week ago , if signings don't come in, then those comments are fair but the window hasn't closed, I'm not saying the Friedkins are infallible but if you haven't noticed a clear distinction in how they're operating the club over the past ignoramuses I struggle for any further words. Also the supposed excuses you mentioned are real reasons things occur , unfortunately you can't just magically gazump clubs that have more funds and status out of nowhere

He’s only 30 lad.
Hardly Coleman/Young/Gueye territory.

We have to replace 6-8 players while trying to improve on the ones that left while also not having a massive budget

He’s better than doucs and if 12m is accurate I see him as a “decent “ signing

12m Charly
12m souc
4m travers
30m Barry
Keane ( I am ignoring this one for mental health reasons )
Gana

58m on players with the 3 new guys being an improvement on the ones they replace is a good start

Averaging around 15m per signing and improving the team is building smartly imo

Need 2 RW a LB a RB and probably at least another CM

Luiz on loan option to buy would be good business and then just the dreaded right hand side to sort out ( a position which we have neglected for years )

Supposed to be signing elite players for an elite stadium as Moyes said.

Should be blowing tinpot clubs like spurs out of the water and wrap up Gibbs white. No fuss. Get it done. Drop the cash.

Same for ekitike, Dan should be flying over there, flying the player back. Show these bum clubs who in forest and newcastles case were div 1 a few years back.

They landed marque signings like lukaku for Roma.

We need something similar. Start acting like a big club.
Who you gonna blame now Thelwell's gone

Nope, not what he said at all. That’s what he wanted. What one wants and what one gets are seldom the same. If he doesn’t thinks he is being backed how he was promised then he won’t be shy in getting it out there. But sorry, you were crying, peeing and jizzing in your pants all at once. Sorry for the interruption.

I'm thinking we loan Luiz then get a RB who can cover LB that resolves three positions.

Then the RW and Harrison on a free and blammo we are done...

Is blammo even a word?

He’s the probably the highest calibre of marquee player we can attract right now in terms of still being in the prime of his career.
I don’t disagree, just saying that doesn’t make him a huge marquee signing in itself. A marquee signing for a club like us is someone that you don’t expect us to be able attract. Luiz is a very good player and I’d be very pleased if we signed him, but ultimately I would expect him to move to someone like us regardless, so I wouldn’t really see it as a huge deal in a wider sense.

The striker is potential at this point and if he's the main guy im worried .

Tbh im still waiting to be blown away by this new culture and running of things , so far it feels a lot like the early Moyes years, lots of hot air .

You can if the package is sold correctly with real ambition shown . Otherwise you better get straight on the phone to Newcastle and Villa and tell them they cant do it.

Italian media are reporting that we have “won the race” for Douglas Luis, agreement for a loan this season with obligation to buy next summer, no details on the fee.

Hopefully we get it complete before the trip to the USA and a RW as well

I think we're all abit tentative to believe this gentleman just yet as he's the only one saying it👍
