In fairness Richarlison didn’t make his Brazil debut until 2018 after he’d already joined us and then started the 22 World Cup as their number 9. Didn’t make him a bad player for us. Some players just don’t find their way into the international fold of some teams for various reasons. Arteta don’t receive a single Spain cap due to the players they had at the time. Had he been born ten years earlier he’d have probably received loads.

Hammer here, I hope Soucek stays with us - he may be 30, he might not be that quick but he’s brave, sticks his head in, is strong and plays for the shirt - he’s scored and assisted for us consistently and at a pretty decent rate. If he were to go, I hope he goes to you - he’s a legend at ours, I think he’d be a legend for you under Moyes again. £12m, if that is the fee, is chicken feed for a player of his attributes - oh, and his injury record is excellent
