Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Well Kay drove me up the wall on the drive, fiddling with the car door latch every minute or two, even though I had the rear doors and windows on childlock. I didn’t get much sleep, if any, the night before which probably made me somewhat irritable ( the dog didn’t help when he got into Kays bedroom and crapped on the carpet) so this was like the straw that broke the camels back. I’ve got to get rid of the dog as I can’t deal with both him and Kay tbh…..
Anyway today is another day and we’ll see how it goes, one day at a time. Sorry for whinging but I need to sleep…….
It’s never whinging on here Pete, it’s just sharing of our days and the incumbent emotion.

Are you able to get a daytime nap even?

Not whinging at all, just unburdening yourself amongst friends. I hope you managed to get some sleep and have had a better day today, especially no unwanted deposits from the dog.

Hello all, the good news is that Mr F is home. He's got enough antibiotics to choke a donkey but all seems to be well. We have had lots of rain today. How's your Mum @jazzy ?
@peteblue - lack of sleep is awful, hopefully you can get some rest today/tonight.
Good news on Mr F. You always recover better at home in your own bed.

Morning everyone.

Well I enjoyed the Madonna film but I'm more Desperately Seeking Rain than Susan.

Garden is wilting before my eyes. We don't have a hosepipe ban ( yet ) but watering a 2 acre garden even with a hosepipe isn't easy.

Anyway looks like my wishes will come true tomorrow when heavy rain is forecast. Also chance of a shower today.

Woke up yesterday with a bad back ( happens with me occasionally) and was unable to do anything yesterday.

To make matters worse mum had another fall yesterday, her 2nd in a week.

Reported it to Lancs CC to get a reassessment of her condition and whether she can safely stay at home or go into care full time. Bit worrying and I know that I can't give her care and supervision 24/7.

Backs slightly better today but with my sensible head on no gym or gardening today.

So , a day of restorative yoga, rest, reading and watching the cricket today.

Whatever you do have a lovely day everyone.
I hope the conditions today have helped your garden, there’s been some hellish downpours and I felt sorry for the supporters at the pre season game tonight at Accrington who were well and truly drowned.
Also I’m so sorry to hear about your mum and hope the best outcome for you all can be found.

Thanks Anj, I’m really pleased he’s back home with you and fully armed with antibiotics. Wish him well from us all………
