Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Not sure what's happened over the last couple of days that has seemingly made a load of people do a massive about turn and decide that actually we've done loads and the squad is actually great anyway so doesn't really need much doing to it. Maybe it's just a coping mechanism.

You get extra Superbloo points for having no concerns about our squad whatsoever and pretending that extending the contracts of Coleman and Keane has taken up lots of time.

Giving Trombone legs a new deal was a mistake in my EXTREMELY humble opinion.

But if that's what the gaffers wants,so be it.
Keggars?

Yeah but if he is just a squad filler then its easier to throw him a new deal than search the market for one, especially when we have so many we need to sign from other areas of the pitch.

If we didnt need 8-9 players then i dont think this would of happened.

Remember at West ham he was a big Craig Dawson advocate who was similarly calamitous to Keane , he was able to utilize him as somewhat of asset despite being very mediocre i think that's Moyes ,he always likes a good project

Weve not done loads but what we have done so far is good IMO.

Would love to have another 2 more in now, but no point just getting any 2 in just for numbers sake.
Im sure we will be sound by the end of the window or even before the season starts.

Striker? Why?
Because we currently have:
Beto - proven average.
Chermiti - nobody knows anything about him.
Barry - completely unproven but nice to have brought in a promising up-and-coming striker.

We need at least three strikers on the books capable of starting. Would you be happy seeing Chermiti starting for an extended period of time if Barry and Beto get injured?

If the 2 was someone who could drop in and immediately make us better (Kubo & Douglas Luiz for example), would you prefer to wait as my guess is we aren't the first destination on there wish list.
Or would you prefer us to go for players we know we can get in straight away without much fuss of attracting them (Fellows & El Aynaoui)

I agree about not just getting people in for the sake of it, although I would say the chances of us doing that significantly increase the later it gets and that's part of what people are concerned about. There is an understandable concern that if we get late in the window and haven't managed to bring in the players we wanted, then re-signing Harrison and making O'Brien the first choice right back (and therefore Keane the first reserve at centre half) etc become the easy option and we end up not progressing. Again.
