We’re four years removed from the summer we spent 1.7m on Demarai Gray and that was it, and people think 45m by July 15 is a slow summer.Club has also invested close to £45 mill without a sale - allbeit some savings of costs.

But that isn't even a contradiction, in fact it just strengthens what i'm saying. The squad we had/have isn't the worst collection of players there's ever been and only good enough for league 2, but it's - in my opinion, obviously - probably a bit below average in terms of the PL. I would like it to be a bit better than that, and so advocate us signing more players to help with that.I don’t know. There were some on a certain managers thread last season telling us that these same players were only capable of relegation scrapping and were all absolutely crap and relegation was inevitable.
I’ll be gobsmacked by fewer than 6 given we still have a full complement of loan slots in our pocket.View attachment 316956
I’d say we need at least a minimum of 4 in judging from this graphic (Travers already assumed as signed for back up Gk).
RW
CDM
RB
LB
then ideal we’d also another RW and a CAM
I agree, so what is the point of having either of them? That basically means going into the season with one viable RB (who's not a specialist RB). I cant believe that at all.
Overall, we need strong competition EVERYWHERE.
That's not saying well get it like.

Ha...how come you call him this?Joe “ ive got no ambition “ Thomas on the echo pod yesterday, said we may go in for Coufal in a few weeks if we have nobody and he’s still available. Let’s hope the club have a bit more ambition

Thats only timing, the liability will be on our balance sheet. Same could be said in relation to every other team. Its about comparing like with like not PSR or cashflow. The £43m was in comparison to the 5 teams mentioned that have spent >£100m.So much more nuance than that I think. TBH, we’re ‘only’ on 27.5 this financial year, potentially 31.5 when Travers signs. Over 4 year contracts and including wages that’s around the £10m mark spent this year. I don’t think Friedkins have a cash flow worry and we are surely well within PSRA limits so I’d expect a few more signing yet
Must be one of them Irish names. That's his middle name.
We have 3 players who can play RB, whatever standard they are we do have options there. Yes, we'd all want better but we have only one LB, so I'd say cover there is more important than a fourth option at RB.That basically means going into the season with one viable RB (who's not a specialist RB). I cant believe that at all.

Because he’s unbelievable at playing us down, he should be working for the Grimsby echo. 10mins before the coufal shout he was playing down Luiz , like we have no chance. And maybe we can try and convince Josh brownhill to join, convince ffs, he’s played 70% of his career in the championship With Bristol city and Burnley, he should crawl over broken glass to join Everton, not that I’d want him, he’s pants.Ha...how come you call him this?
I cannot see us going for a RB, losing out and then just giving up TBHYes, but we have not been in for anyone else since. Before the window opened we were heavily linked with; Walker-Peters, Coufal and Lamptey, Lamptey signed an extension but Walker-Peters and Coufal are free agents and it doesn't seem like we have tried to sign either of them.
Genuinely would rather have kept young for.a season than bother with coufal.Joe “ ive got no ambition “ Thomas on the echo pod yesterday, said we may go in for Coufal in a few weeks if we have nobody and he’s still available. Let’s hope the club have a bit more ambition
