Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I don’t know. There were some on a certain managers thread last season telling us that these same players were only capable of relegation scrapping and were all absolutely crap and relegation was inevitable.
But that isn't even a contradiction, in fact it just strengthens what i'm saying. The squad we had/have isn't the worst collection of players there's ever been and only good enough for league 2, but it's - in my opinion, obviously - probably a bit below average in terms of the PL. I would like it to be a bit better than that, and so advocate us signing more players to help with that.

That basically means going into the season with one viable RB (who's not a specialist RB). I cant believe that at all.

Overall, we need strong competition EVERYWHERE.

That's not saying well get it like.
I agree, so what is the point of having either of them?

It’s actually worse than that as O’Brien will play CB if Tarks is injured as Keane is less disasterous on the left of the pair. Means if either Tarks or O’Brien get injured/suspended we are without a functional right back.

That was more down to Stockholm syndrome and a slight dab of right leaning political views imo.

So much more nuance than that I think. TBH, we’re ‘only’ on 27.5 this financial year, potentially 31.5 when Travers signs. Over 4 year contracts and including wages that’s around the £10m mark spent this year. I don’t think Friedkins have a cash flow worry and we are surely well within PSRA limits so I’d expect a few more signing yet
Thats only timing, the liability will be on our balance sheet. Same could be said in relation to every other team. Its about comparing like with like not PSR or cashflow. The £43m was in comparison to the 5 teams mentioned that have spent >£100m.
Having said that I too would expect a few more signings 🤑

We have 3 players who can play RB, whatever standard they are we do have options there. Yes, we'd all want better but we have only one LB, so I'd say cover there is more important than a fourth option at RB.

Ha...how come you call him this?
Because he’s unbelievable at playing us down, he should be working for the Grimsby echo. 10mins before the coufal shout he was playing down Luiz , like we have no chance. And maybe we can try and convince Josh brownhill to join, convince ffs, he’s played 70% of his career in the championship With Bristol city and Burnley, he should crawl over broken glass to join Everton, not that I’d want him, he’s pants.

Last December he was still making excuses for dyche, even though he’d won 6 games in a year and was still saying he could get a new deal and lead us into BMD. He does my nut in
