Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

We 100% need bigger squad but at least we haven’t lost anyone club was prepared to lose. Palace, Bournemouth etc have lost key players
I'd also add Brentford to that list. Brentford have suffered bad losses with Norgaard and potentially Wissa and Mbeumo going, along with Frank and their entire coaching staff. Add to that the addition of Henderson, any they're having a nightmare window!

A lot of panic going on when we would probably start the first game like this

Pickford
O'Brien
Tarkowski
Branthwaite
Mykolenko
Gueye
Garner
McNeil
Alcaraz
N'Diaye
Beto/Barry

Even with new signings, its probably likely we start pretty similar to that anyway as managers don't tend to throw new signings in anymore unless they are massive game changers.

The new players will come, and be added to the starting line up when the opportunity arises

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see Brentford struggle to the extent that they are in a relegation scrap this season.

Add Wolves to that list,
Brighton have loast there top scorer from last season also
Fulham havent signed anyone yet
Forest have lost Elanga and brought in some shady cats in the Joorabchian/Textor/Maranakis threesome
West Ham have lost Kudus and not signed anyone

Still likely a better squad than ours , certainly more balanced

Honestly, that’s good enough to start the season off with. That’s broadly the team that was 6th best in the PL in the second half of the season.

The only change I could possibly see is if we brought in a lightening quick right midfielder before we go to the states, and tbh it’s probably still going to be that team.

People underestimate player retention I think. We have lost a significant number of players but not a number of significant players.

We’ve currently got 19 according to Goats squad thread with Travers about to make it 20.

Reckon the most we will see in without any more outs is about 4-5 max.
