Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

In May, I felt we need 8 new players (so not including Alcaraz). However that was assuming Keane was off. But he stayed. If we can get Travers over the line then we are getting there.

Back up GK
Starting RB,
Back up LB,
4th choice CB,
Ball playing CM,
Starting RW,
Starting ST.
Another forward (preferably can play across front 3 but otherwise backup RW)

Need 5 more. Still getting links for forward/midfield players. Seems a bit quieter for the RB/LB links.
Perfect analysis amigo

I would also be keen to bring in a more physical AM who can more closely replace the upside that Doucoure brought, which I do think we would miss at times. But even if that makes 6 with a full complement of loans up our sleeve that should be very doable.

I don’t think we go that route. Not if the links to McAtee are genuine, as he doesn’t fit that mould and can’t see us bringing 2 in for that area, not with Alcaraz already there as well.

Aye, Moyes prefers this type of Attacking Mid, like Cahill and Fellaini before. They’re usually the away or tough home #10.

Signed 3 players (once this gk is done) and gave new contracts to 4 first team/squad players before the middle of July. I hate this new Everton.
But we play Accrington tomorrow night and we don’t have a full match day squad!

The difference between Europe and mid-table will be down to results in the first couple of months. We can’t afford to be fumbling around for bodies much longer if we expect the whole squad to be up to fitness and fully drilled by then!!!

If we dont have enough bodies in by the time we fly off to America then ill be concerned. Plenty of time yet.

We can’t afford McAtee. £40M and his wages would leave us with nothing to pick up the other positions we desperately need!!

Add to that letting DCL go, Doucoure, Young, all the correct decisions.

The loan players look like we will not show any more interest in Harrison, Lindstrom, Broja, again the correct decision.

Not too shabby
