Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

So youre bombing 4 more out. Not sure the squad has enough resilience to cope with that. Definitely not Garner. Fringe players like Chermiti and Armstrong (though I'd argue keeping them round the first team might prove fruitful) could be loaned out by deadline day. Patterson im neither here nor there.

Ideally we'd be keeping them all and just adding to what we have. I think there's a deal or two to do though which will just be business and the committee thinking it is the right time to sell. With the new model though, any outgoings willl not happen I imagine till we get close to what we need incoming wise. Patterson I would love to come good but no signs on previous seasons. It is the question though, do they wait until they get our crying out for RW in and see how he manages till the Jan window if given the chancd and act then?

He’d be a statement player though. City were reportedly after him as he was leaving Villa. If we can get him over the line it would solve a lot of issues in the midfield. Liz and Hackney if possible would give us a decent clutch of players.

Luiz, Hackney, Gueye, Garner, Armstrong, Iroegbunam. 6 players for the 2 deep lying positions, could even send Iroegbunam or Armstrong on loan again.
Trouble with this is even if the 100 million kitty is true, if we are signing travers then between he, Barry and Alcaraz 50 million has been spent. Luis and Hackney cost at least another 40 million and then we are left with 10 million to sign a couple of wingers, a starting right back and cover for left back. Some of those may be loans, but……

Not had anyone confirm it either way but Alcaraz may not be included in the alleged 100M available. Might be wishful thinking on my part that though.

Travers, Luiz and Kubo. £55m and Tagliafico on a free.

Possibly a RB, back-up RM and another AM on loan.

I think a lot is contingent on being to able to agree 3/4 loans towards the end of the window.

I don't see us signing anymore than 3 additional full signings, including Travers. Supposedly there was a small amount of money Moyes opted not to spend last January.

I expect that we have enough to do enough. I can't see us getting a total of 10 players though. That seems too much of a push and I don't think Moyes fancies integrating that many new players either, all at once.

I doubt we'll see any more leave now. Numbers don't support it. Patterson like I say might be the one to leave but again highly unlikely

I'm not sure it is doable, he is a good player,no doubt, but, I don't think he is good enough to come in as our highest earner. I imagine that would open a Pandora's box with regard to our senior players salaries, should he come in and break our wage structure. You also have to bear in mind that, as he plays in Italy, that could be his nett wage quoted, rather than his gross, that's the usual thing in Italy.
We are not paying new players 140k per week indeed...not with this new ownership.

But if we sign a RB which surely we must do, we will have 3 specialist right backs and two in O’Brien and Garner who can cover.
