Cricket

It's not necessarily the tactics that are the reason they are getting criticism. I believe the issue is selection and that there are some players who appear to be un-droppable regardless of performance. That doesn't help get the best out of the team.

I personally would drop Woakes Bashir Crawley and Pope and give others a go. I don't think they are performing well enough.
Woakes is a first change bowler at best.
Crawley has no technique other than chase every ball outside off stump.
Pope is never a number three while he has an orifice to defecate out of.
Bashir must be a pet project or an ongoing bet amongst the England selectors that he will take more than single figures wickets in a 5 match series.

Can't really argue with that, would hope Atkinson is available and Bethall surely plays. Not sure about spin, does Dawson play any red ball cricket?

2 england batters outscored 'extras'. one by 8 runs, the other by a solitary run. If that doesn't explain the clear failing of the zero patience approach nothing will. This england setup seems entirely based on roid rage thinking. super aggro, bat like mad men, chase parked cars, application of strength, zero finesse, even less patience. 20twenty stuff.

I just don’t see it with Bashir, the India series last year Hartley and Ahmed both looked better and could actually bat. It’s like there too proud to admit it’s been a mistake.
