Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Hello you little ray of sunshine, you.

Does the transfer window close tomorrow? No.

Is there still time to make more exciting signings? Of course!
You’re correct, but so is he. What happened to this massive rebuild in the summer?. We’re half way through July and we have signed a striker that likely won’t even start yet. We desperately need cover for RB/LB, and we desperately need a winger and we have had months to sort this…… sorry, years!. And the rumour is Harrison hahahaha.

I would just really like to see a strong link to a top winger. Everything else I feel we have time to put in place, but that would do my heart good.
Well they are all back from holiday next week, apart from those playing at the club world cup.

Whether Rodrygo goes from Real could start some movement later in the window.

We are waiting our place in the pecking order as ever with the right hand side of the team, it will probably be kicked down the road another year now in the hope that we are a better prospect to attract an "Elite" RW.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

Ferguson is a coke fiend.

Also…remember the story that came out about two teenage EPL players being taken away for questioning by police during that club’s morning training session in relation to some sexual assault accusations??i?? (No charges pressed to date so not suggesting any guilt)

Pretty sure that Brighton were the only club that matched the profile of the club (had played an FA Cup game the prev weekend ) and the only one that had one of those young players being a regular starter for them. Ferguson “coincidently” was out injured for months following the reporting of this story

That's about £140k a week. It's doable, I suppose, but is the sort of thing we've been moving away from. Cracking player, though.
I might be wrong but there used to be be Italian tax law that exempted 50% of a footballers salary. Naturally our 3 tiers of tax in the UK can put some players off or force clubs to inflate their offer to match the net amount overseas. Having played for City and Villa you'd think this wouldn't be a shock and baked into any negotiations though.

Yeah, Italy is odd, sometimes they report wages as after tax. If that's the case here then his wages are completely out of our reach for us. Who knows, though. If his reported wages are after tax then I can't see him moving anywhere other than the Saudi league as nobody else could afford them.

You definitely are 'suggesting' guilt
