Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I think if I just went on transfermarket.com and chucked some random player names on my post I could. I might even notice how many Japanese players are being signed for the women’s team and say that Everton are exploring the possibility of signing Takehiro Tomiyasu on a free transfer…
Any update on Onyedika Clarky ?

You heard any more ?

€10 million loan fee and €30 million obligation for Luiz is exactly the wrong type of deal for someone aged 27. We need to be looking at finding the next one, younger with real value

Luka Modric went to Real Madrid at 26, he’s just left at 39 to keep playing at AC Milan. We’ve just given a two year deal to a 35 year old who is probably our best midfielder. We’re getting far too bent out of shape about age. Yes buying younger players to then sell at a profit is one way to go but if Luiz came in and we qualified for Europe then his transfer fee would easily be recouped. He could give us 5 years at his absolute peak and he’d still only be 32.

Yeah but I don't care about all that. I'm an average fan that just wants a bit of news. If the Bobble has it then cool. I couldn't care less about the educational history of any of the apparent ITK's. I would imagine there are plenty of Journo's who have put themselves through education but talk utter nonsense too. Should I believe all journo's just because they have a degree? The list of actual fully fledged sports journo's i mildly trust is very short indeed.
Again, i don't really care where the info comes from & who delivers it so long as that person has a modicum of reliability, which the Bobble has.

Sorry you've just totally changed your position there.

My post was referring to you saying that if you dont agree with what the bobble is doing then you can't agree with the likes or ornstien or joyce.

I was just pointing out the differences between those journalists you mentioned.

Now you're talking about all journos and just saying you dont trust any of them anyway apart from the bobble.

Which is fair enough but just isnt what you original posted about.

I do.

I take everything ITK's say with a massive pinch of salt.

Im not a fan of charging blues money for information you get for free tbh.

I just find it strange that anyone asks you about transfers you just blank them but as soon as anyone says they dont believe you. Youre right on here having a go.
I tweet an awful lot when I could just deactivate. The podcast is an Everton Channel that covers a wide range of stuff including my bits. That’s all. What’s the issue? It’s no different to any other football content.

I come on here to defend myself from the same 6/7 people who think it’s ok to throw abuse or spin narratives for no apparent reason. I’ve read so many lies on here that it’s an absolute disgrace at times.

Regarding why I don’t reply a lot is because I have a family, a job, a 6 month old baby and time is important. I read an awful lot and choose to sometimes pipe up when things are becoming out of order. I don’t see any other journalist (who all sit behind paywalls) or ITK getting the abuse or same questions labelled at them as I do and I still tweet an awful lot of information on Twitter when I could just not bother.

Anyway, got nothing nice to say, then don’t say anything is my motto and on that note I hang my hat up on this forum and won’t be coming on again. I have always tried to be civil on here and polite but won’t be wasting my time any further.

If Douglas Luiz was available and goes to West Ham as some sources are claiming thats huge mistake on our part. Takes us up a level as starts every week

Won't be a mistake but will be wage demands, if we didnt pursue. We've just made our most valuable player one of our highest earners. We arent busting our wage structure for Luiz or anybody eise this close season.

In an ideal world he'd be dropping his wage demands below his Juve earnings and coming to us. We maybe have already sounded out his representives with what we have to offer as the transfer fee would not pose any issues I expect, but wages probably will.

Few if any players are wanting to earn less than their current contract in the prime of their career.and he is earning over the equivalent of 140k per week sterling at Juventus net after tax. I think he would do well and compliment our squad all the same.

Kudus was a must sell for West Ham to help with their PSR compliance. They may end up having less headroom for wages than us. even after that sale.

Will stick my neck out now and say he will not end up at West Ham this transfer window.

Something about Douglas Luiz for me, strikes me as the type to down tools and beg for a move after 6months.

We're talking about a player that actively left City to play for Dean Smith's Villa. I personally think he's the type that wants to take his tools where they're useful, but each to their own.

West Ham don't have a PSR issue at all.

Cash flow is the problem they have. They have been hawking a percentage of the club around to get some cash into the club.

Not sure which lot are worse the anti bobble lot or his fanboys. Would say put them in a room and fight it out but probably be like looking at a tesco queue during covid with everyone stood two meters apart looking all awkward.

Go donate the few quid to a homeless shelter or something rather than to find out 20 seconds before the rest of us a link that 99% time it doesnt happen.

We all need our transfer fix. Any 3rd choice backup goalkeeper links?

Would like to see The Esk and the Eskimoes versus Bobble and the Bobilites on the battlefield.

90M Euro equivalent or 75M quid say over a 4 year contract including the loan fee and potential salary over the contract length. Add to that agent fees and player signing bonuses, takes the total package potentially over 80M. We aren't doing that deal I expect.
