Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I get why you're perturbed , but would you rather he not divulge any information at all? as he doesn't have to provide that material either. Not everything he discloses is behind a paywall.

It’s sets a precedent though, not him alone of course but that kind of opportunism.

Who would have thought a few years ago people receive money to read comments out on a YouTube Live stream for example.

It’s makes me laugh when people start these things and suddenly, when viewership/listenship starts gaining momentum they can no longer do it “without your support “

It’s only a matter of time before Facebook and X etc up the stakes in subscription/monetisation for things that were once readily available without it.

We need to get mcatee deal sorted asap

Forest have now got the elanga money
West Ham have the kudos money
Wolves have the cunha money
Bournemouth have the Huijsen and Kerkez money
Brighton have the Pedro money
Palace might soon have Eze money
Tottenham always steal our players
That’s a real doom and gloom way to say lots of rivals clubs have sold / are selling some of their best players whilst we haven’t lost anyone we didn’t want to, have brought in Barry and extended our best players contract

…we do need to get moving over the next couple weeks but I’m happy with what we’ve done so far

Saw that Leon Bailey was trending on Twitter. Thought he might be moving to us as we have been linked before and we need a winger or two. So opened the link, now I need bleach for my eyes. 😳😞😱

Most of the ITK's have an income stream related to thier work. Fab Rom has Twitter, YouTube plus agents bunging him a few quid for headlines. Alan Myers until recently worked for Sky, Joyce & Ornstien etc work for papers & so do many other guys. Adverts everywhere that help pay towards you being able to read it 'for free'.

I don't know what The Bobble does for a living but i would imagine he doesn't have the same ITK revenue opportunities that the others do. Plus his catchment area of predominantly Everton fans makes it even harder.
To me, he clearly does get some information. How much or little you belive it is up to the individual. No ITK gets every scoop so they will always bounce off eachother. I respect Bobbles choice of only sharing what he believes are more substantial moves rather than just rumours.

I don't begrudge the guy for trying to earn a few extra quid for information he believes he has over the average fan in the same way I don't begrudge Myers, Joyce, Ornstien etc when you help them through Twitter engagement, YouTube or buying a newspaper or reading thier online articles with adverts everywhere.

Life can be hard. Let the man earn a crust. If you don't like it then all sports journo's are pretty much dead to you so your problem isn't with Bobble, it's with the system. Of course we all wish every article or statement was true & free but the reality is that it isn't. At least Bobble has a bull sheet threshold.

That said I wouldn't personally pay for his service. But I also don't pay The Times, The Telegraph, The Daily Fail etc either. Fab Rom is becoming increasingly poor quality, The red tops can get in the bin & sky have to fill thier breaking news quota on a daily basis so will run any old nonsense nowadays.

The Bobble ain't perfect but he's alright. That's better than most apparent ITK's.

Makes me think we aren’t even in for him.

He’s profited off Everton being run like an absolute clown show , only emerged during lockdown how did we cope without him or his Kenwright hugging mate ? Very well I’d say

Expecting a poor start to the season for us tbh, it should have been expected with the sheer amount of players we will bring in, I reckon we will get to Leeds game still about 4/5 signings shy of what we do this window.

We have had many, many previous Moyes summers like this, and started the season poorly.
