Given a choice between Inter, Napoli, AC, Atletico Madrid, Dortmund or any team outside the top 7 in the Prem, 90% of players will not come here.

A team playing in La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 or the Bundesliga PLUS Champions League will trump a team in the EPL without Europe.
 
Think it’s really important that we start to beat tinpot clubs like Forest, Bournemouth and Fulham to some signings. I know it seems like a minor detail but it’s really about perception to other players we may be in the market for in future. Need to get away from the mentality of thinking we can only pick up the scraps from the floor after everyone else is done eating.

Depends if you believe the rumours that link us and them with a player. Most of the time we’re just used as a name to put out there. Half of them the club could be sat there like “pardon? We don’t want him at all”

True; however, we are a bit like the short, slightly bald fella who's had too much to drink, who will be in that position at 3am.

To be fair I don't think we was the worst. You could see he was young a raw talent. Who would play one game then not be in the squad or the team? Then you get big Sam who’s whole menatility was you need players in the prime age 24 - 28 he was never going to succeed at Everton. But that goes to show there was no effective strategy in place

Tbh i dont remember anyone saying he was awful. Remember lots of people backing him to play and develop because it was obvious he had fantastic talent.

Problem was he was a moody entitled prick.

All he had to do was can the attitue, get his head down, work hard and he'd develop. But he seemed to get a cob on if he wasnt treated like he was messi.

Seemed to of clicked at atalanta and now were seeing how good he can be but its down to him as a player why its took this long to click imo.

Spot on. We’ve been left behind. Tinpot clubs with bigger budgets than us. Clubs that haven’t a title between them.
