We seem to be his best option.

Yup. RVN was soooo terrible it makes me concerned about anyone linked to him in a coaching sense.

Also, many Dutch league players flop in the PL.

What's the fingers crossed for today, a fantastic winger, a win on the GGs or both.

Bundesliga is a tremendous league to play in.

Take Bayern out of the equation and the difference between the team is minimal.

They all play a high pressing, high tempo brand of football that is easy to showcase your talents if you're a young footballer.

Added to that, they have big stadiums, they all sell out and it's a top 5 league in the world.

If I were a young player looking to progress, the Bundesliga would be pretty close to the top of my list of choices

Of course not.

At the start of the window we had money. Our competitors did not.

Now, with other clubs selling players, our competitors also have money to spend.

Our inactivity has now increased our competition.

Why did we not press home our advantage and sign players?

1. Clubs sell when they want for the highest price possible. We can’t force them to sell.
2. You have no idea who are targets are or at what point in the window they are likely to become available.
3. The point is not just to sign players. It’s to sign the best combination of players given our budget, player availability and squad need. It’s a complex moving target. You continually make massive lists of players that we could sign but there is no jeopardy for you. 99% of those players probably flop. If the club get it wrong that player is on our books for 4/5 years.

No one has a problem signing Belgians or Dutch, we have problem signing any player of any nationality that is only proven in the Dutch league.

Just been watching Tom Fellows on YouTube. Yes I know it doesn't say much but for a decent price we should be going for him. Also he is 21 / English so good profile for the future
