Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Last year of his deal if I'm not mistaken. He also had a drop in form to the point Ivan Perisic displaced him. Seen someone say PSV regret not selling him when his stock was higher under RvN. So there is risk involved, beyond the usual "Eredivise risk."

This being the case, red flags all over this deal. After initially thinking yes, we shouldn't go near this at all , even if we have an opportunity.

You can say this about a lot of leagues when you’re being specifically choosy.

Last season he was meant to move away and didn’t, not a great sign if you’re in a huff but the talent is blatant. Kubo would get bullied.
I’d argue pound for pound the Dutch has been worse by a long way. Plenty of players 5’8 don’t get bullied.

Bundesliga remains very attractive to players.

Decent wages, great stadia, amazing fan culture, very nice lifestyle and an excellent platform to catch the eye of top CL contenders. Bundesliga clubs in Europe are at least attractive as PL clubs without it. Money talks but it is not the only thing that speaks to agents and players.
Bundesliga is a tremendous league to play in.

Take Bayern out of the equation and the difference between the team is minimal.

They all play a high pressing, high tempo brand of football that is easy to showcase your talents if you're a young footballer.

Added to that, they have big stadiums, they all sell out and it's a top 5 league in the world.

If I were a young player looking to progress, the Bundesliga would be pretty close to the top of my list of choices

I know people close to him, I asked about this link today and was told this is silly press to keep Marks name out there.

Told he has no interest in being a No 2.

Posted the other day i was told that before when he was out on loan at Boro, so seems the same.

Pity, would have been handy for tickets.

Things have changed I'm guessing

Can’t see Bakayoko picking us over Leverkusen or Leipzig, both CL clubs known to develop players. Can’t say I know if they have starting wingers, but it doesn’t really matter much nowadays. The CL is the be all and end all for most.

More than happy to be shocked and for him to come out that he’s a boyhood blue and always fantasised of playing in the Hill Dick Stadium of Dreams
