Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Bundesliga remains very attractive to players.

Decent wages, great stadia, amazing fan culture, very nice lifestyle and an excellent platform to catch the eye of top CL contenders. Bundesliga clubs in Europe are at least attractive as PL clubs without it. Money talks but it is not the only thing that speaks to agents and players.
Esp the teams at the top we have a pull over most of them but likes of dortmund bayern leverkusen leipzig all can offer us more. Rest would say we would have a very good chance. Either way is about us still going for players like this showing is a pathway here

Come off it, Textor doesn’t control Palace and never has. The integrity of the competition is not compromised one bit by having both Palace and Lyon in.
The rules were clear.

A lot clearer than the rules regarding playing footballers that have been accused of crimes as we and Arsenal know.

Of course I feel bad for the fans but football is a farce. They got a cup. They're lucky they scraped into Conference seeing as their owners own Brondby and didn't register that either.

We all know the FA, FIFA and UEFA should be boycotted but who actually does anything about it.

It barely even a sport it's so corrupt.

it‘s a bit unrealistic, but what a dream if we could get Douglas, Kubo and Bakoyoko in. 75m for them combined would be worth it.

Possibly unrealistic but with money spent already and the relatively low fee for Travers upcoming, if the other positions were filled with loans and Patterson offloaded for a few m, it wouldn't be that much above the £100 or so net spenc kitty that hadn't been confirmed but I'd seen it mentioned. All told, players choice for the latter two and wage demands and player choice for Luis may be the dealbreakers. We'll see anyway 😊

€20m seems very cheap, unless the add ons are insane I think we should be in for him, you would pay the same or more for a championship player, we would finally have a fast right winger, plus I can dig out my old Bakayoko shirt!😊

Last year of his deal if I'm not mistaken. He also had a drop in form to the point Ivan Perisic displaced him. Seen someone say PSV regret not selling him when his stock was higher under RvN. So there is risk involved, beyond the usual "Eredivise risk."

To me I don’t think past players really matter. It’s the ambition of the player. If he wants to be playing CL/EL football he’ll pick a side either in it or who looked close to it. We had a resurgence but still can’t really say we’re close. He seems the type to want it all right away.

I’d give us like a 10% chance
unless we stupidly offered crazy wages. Plus it’s bogus anyway, Romano + Everton are bullshit rumours. Think only Lindstrom he got right.

Agree re that far too many want it all straight away. Individual back stories will be different but the wrong agent in yhe ear and they may get their £££'s but not necessarily the individual success they thought they would. Chelsea should be held up as Exhibit A However not enough people involved in the sport with influence or power see this as any kind of issue. That's where the obscene money involved has led to naturally.
