Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I'd rather bring back Grey or Lookman than Richarlison, he ran himself into the ground for us and just isn't the same sadly. Would be nice to see him play in the legends game against Roma.
Lookman? Why would he ever come back here , he's in the champions League with Atalanta and has won trophies with them

Moyes destroyed their finances but did well on the pitch.

Now the finances are still destroyed and he's left a squad which looks like a relegation fighting lopsided mess.

Their fans like Moyes and i think whoever told you that may be missing him.
Zat how did he destroy their finances? they just spent over 100 million last season? The fact they made terrible recruitment choices last season, seems to have affected their budget adversely

Got a stonemason WH fan working on a barn currently, he's not happy. to say the least, but ecstatic to see the back of Moyes.

I mean it's either/or really. Ideally you want 2 starters and either 2 back ups, or 1 who can play both sides and maybe a striker that can play wide.
We waste Ndiaye moving him to RW and we lose McNeills crossing playing him at RW especially without an attacking FB behind.

We have neglected our RW for years. We have good cover at LW and n.10 with McNeill, Alcaraz and Ndiaye.

Go get 2 RWs.

How did he destroy their finances? They were actually in their best financial condition in years due to the European football money and the Declan Rice sale.

What screwed then was bringing in Tim Steidten, who squandered a lot of money on unsuitable players for the league, and Lopetegui.

For example, Moyes wanted guys like McTominay and Maguire, but Steidten acted as a road block. Instead he insisted they sign Mavropanos, who has been a big waste of money.

Moyes had one major summer splurge, but they made most of their money back on guys like Scamacca. Paqueta was going to be a big profit (85M City offer) but the move was called off due to his FA probe. Kudus has been a good profit (identified by Mark Noble and pushed for by Moyes).

Aguerd was a reasonably big transfer, but he was one of their best players in Europe and helped them win a trophy. He didn’t settle in England though.
He is obsessed with Moyes

Jeez. If that trumps an FA Cup these days then we might aswell all give up. Plus that was also like 20 years ago. Oasis were still good then.....first time round.
Top four does top the FA Cup in some ways. Sure, winning the cup is more memorable, but getting into the Champions League is more important when you are thinking about the business side of things. You get lots of revenue to reinvest and (hopefully) get better.

That said, I’m a bit behind the times as I think there are more Champions League slots now!

Im still leaning toward the cup. Call me a traditionalist. But i know money talks more these days.
