Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Just a few wee months ago we were practically dead n buried, TFG came in, got our mental debt sorted... That wasn't cheap, Hired Moyes who steadied the ship, we've kept Branthwaite, Gueye and ehem... Keane. We now have a new striker in. I'm going to wait until the window slams shut before complaining or worrying. Also Moyes likes to break bread, meet the families, does his background checks (similar to MI5) and then contemplates over scones n iron bru. We always called him dithering Dave and that was for this very reason. This will be his swan song and he'll want everything perfect for this season.... If anything I'm excited.
Coleman and Alxaraz too.

We will get there . Moyes has dropped so many clues they weren’t really cryptic . He wants and he will get players .
I think this is what sometimes causes confusion with these things, although I don't really know why. Everybody understands that we'll get players in, nobody thinks that we're going to start the season with 14 players or whatever. People just want to feel like we're moving in the right direction and not scrabbling round at the last minute taking whatever's on offer like we have in recent years. I really don't understand the controversy to be honest, we have loads to do and we haven't done very much, nobody needs to be panicking but everybody should be at least mildly concerned.

…still a good footballer and top professional, he might just be what they need with so much change.

He's finished at the top level. Was finished in his last season at liverpool.

Hes got knackered ankles and moves like a brick in the sun. Hes also just been part of the biggest bottle job in eredivisie history.

Whats he going to be like with the pace of the PL?

I might be wrong but i think he gets eaten alive.

….yep, I didn’t see anything of him last season so I welcome your insight but he’s been a player I’ve always liked.

Mild concern is appropriate for where we are.
If it's 10 players we're getting in, then the pace of delivery of that is very pedestrian at present and it would be hard to say that it looks to be on track.

I've never thought we'll get that number, but we do need to push for as many as possible.

I'm still expecting a scramble of sorts for the "filler" type loan signings at the end and I guess that's just the way it is.

I said in an earlier post that we need another 3 or 4 in over the same number of weeks. Really 4 at a minimum and with all of the time they've had, they should be capable of that.

think Brentford could struggle this year, losing their manager and signing has-beens like that.
So long as they have goals in the team, they’ll probably be fine. I think the players they’ve lost so far are easily replaceable. Really comes down to do they keep Mbuemo and Wissa - or at least one of them

They have a good recruitment team, generally, so will be interesting to see who they get in as manager
