Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

A lull? It's hardly been frantic? Taken about a month to get Barry over the line. At this rate we should have a full squad by 2030.
Yeah, I was genuinely surprised when he said that, as Ice Ages have been and gone in less time than it takes for us to complete a transfer.

That's the only thing that really worries me about this summer - we cannot be that slow with the amount we need to bring in. By all means take your time to make sure we get the right players in - and we've made a promising start in that regard - but we also cannot continue to be this slow with so many we need to bring in.

Think we have to up the pace a little.

Stop it...some of in this forum will think you are a moaner. I am with you mate...disappointed with TFG so far. The only good thing, other than of course paying the bills, is the return of moyes instead of dyche...but even that is questionable if it was the owners that made the decision or dyche himself that just had enough...perhaps a bit of both. I know they need to be given time, but we had such a horrendous couple of years with a squad so small with a clear lack of depth and quality. We need players now...not in a week or 2...fed up of throwing away the first few games of the season.

If it stays that way when the window ends brilliant. Worry is now these teams selling for big money and having the big funds to spend could mean the market then going mental or we get outbid on the players we want.

Im usually always positive when it comes to everton but just once it would be boss to sign players in the positions we badly need and getting them in early enough that they get preseason together and start the season strong.
By the sounds of the way some of their fanbases are talking about their owners, J wouldn't be too worried about them bringing in quality replacements - WHU doe example have a shocking track record; BRE have hired a kitman as a coach. I think it's natural that we'd all target similar players but that's why getting in Barry early is a great move for us

You think there was a possibility that Dyche left on his own volition? 😂 Dyche had no intent to leave , the sparse budget he had while managing Everton was much more than he ever had at Burnley along with being involved a club with significant history. What is your point other than the fact you are skilled at whinging?

I think that the word spread that Dyche told the owners he had, had enough.

I think we will end up with one more big money,20-30m, right midfield signing and the rest will be free or loans.

42m spend so far and I think the max we can hit is 70m mark without being financially reckless.

Starting to get concerned about this rebuild we are supposed to be doing, very quiet on bids, made contract offers to Young Coleman Keane, possibly Harrison 😮‍💨

looks very likely to be last minute scramble again come Aug 31st when the season is a couple of weeks in.

Come on TFG give us a glimmer of hope 🙏

Just a few wee months ago we were practically dead n buried, TFG came in, got our mental debt sorted... That wasn't cheap, Hired Moyes who steadied the ship, we've kept Branthwaite, Gueye and ehem... Keane. We now have a new striker in. I'm going to wait until the window slams shut before complaining or worrying. Also Moyes likes to break bread, meet the families, does his background checks (similar to MI5) and then contemplates over scones n iron bru. We always called him dithering Dave and that was for this very reason. This will be his swan song and he'll want everything perfect for this season.... If anything I'm excited.
