2024/25 Youssef Chermiti

He's EFC, which means I want him to do well for us. He's scarcely played though, so we've a problem. Stick or twist.

Look at him pre season.. why? Is he gonna play often if Beto/ Barry fit?

So then he's cover... For who/ where ... having only played 4hrs in two years?

Ship him out, if he's still fit after a loan and managed 20+ games. Great for him and us. If not, it's one less hanging around the squad and training with no output.

And focuses us correctly on a reliable attacking / right sided player.

I thought he looked promising before that injury. It is a shame that he has been completely written off by some. Definitely needs some regular game time though which he will struggle to get here now.

He was, after initially looking a bit out of his depth he came back in that bizarre pre season we had under Dyche last year looking like he had had a dose of Klopp juice and was one of the few players who looked promising for the season ahead.

Thought he done ok in parts. His 1st chance i thought was a really poor effort with little composure. 2nd big chance was a little better and had more conviction. See how he gets on over pre season but looks way off leading the line for a PL club imo and I'm not sure he'd come on a change a game.

He needs minutes though and once Barry is here, not sure how many he'll end up getting

He needs a goal more than anything I reckon.

A normal club will have 3-4 strikers of varying traits, abilities etc vying for minutes on the pitch every week so I'm not too concerned about Barry blocking his chances but whatever chances he does get he needs to start taking.

One of those slap forehead signings Everton make with forwards especially: "one for the future" etc.

It's the reason I cant get too excited by Barry's arrival. He'll be another "one for the future" too.

We need to go out and buy an accomplished top quality slotter. We've required that for years and we still dont have it.
