Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

…given limited spend and so many positions to fill, I’d be surprised if we bring in another striker.

Winger, CM and RB I reckon.
Only way we sign another out and out striker now is if there's something on the cards in regards to Beto's future I would think.

Closest we would get to another striker would be if we signed a winger or attacking midfielder who can also play there - e.g. a loan for Richarlison (although I use that solely as an example of the kind of player I mean as the noise on that one has gone v quiet)

But yeah, as much as I want a proper left back (but cover at LB is almost as important as signing a new RB), I'd agree that the three you mentioned have to be the priorities

Wouldnt be against mcatee and fellows to be honest.
Mcatee would be a narrower right side attacker or number 10 if needed. Fellows a more traditional winger but looks to have a very good cross on him.
35 million may well get both players.
Saw an interesting stat about Fellows - he got 14 assists, but his "expected assists" was actually about 7 - which means that players finished an unusually high number of chances that he created, and if he reverted to the mean I'm not sure there would be such clamour for him. I'd much rather wait and see what happens next season with him. The figures being thrown about for him aren't *that* high, so I'm a little bit sceptical about him in all honesty. The figures involved for Ben Doak, for example, are a fair bit higher but is a deal I'd still prefer based on what I've seen and the data available

We aren’t getting McAtee lads.
We aren’t even being mentioned in the conversation.
Other PL (and European) Clubs with more money than us to throw around and European football are fighting over him.

Sorry to be the bearer of Reality.
If this is the case why are the likes of Branthwaite signing 5 year deals, instead of going for big money and to play CL football?

And why has Barry forgone CL football to sign for us?

People need get out their head that a players won't sign for you unless you're in Europe.
