Confirmed Signing Thierno Barry

Beattie would go for 50 mil today. 1 in 3 for Southampton. World's gone mad.
Mo Johnson around the same equivskenr value from all those years ago too. His name only popped inti my head as he was on one of the old WSAG fanzine front covers when Kendall MKII was at a real low point and Mo wasn't scoring either.

Barry's fee probs at the going rate for the potential

Can't wait to see this guy at Bramley Moore

At a guess I think Beto will get the number 9 and start most of the first half of the season & Barry will get 19, back up number 9s seem to wear that number sometimes (DCL did for England) and it's just become available now Myko is 16.

Got a feeling this will be a major signing for us and the future though- UTFT!

I have been sceptical about this transfer window, but my scepticism is born out of a lifetime of supporting this great club, we have recently been been somewhat lacking in the transfer market. This would appear to be a significant upgrade on what we have had in front of goal for a while however I do not believe that this player will be able to solve our lack of goals, he will need help. Barry is a part in a jigsaw, he isn’t the answer, but he should be the starting point of a revival.

From what I understand, he’s not a target man which hopefully means we are moving towards playing the ball on to running forwards rather than hoofing it DCL’s chest. Excited to see what this lad can do and how our playing style evolves.

Yes, buying a 6ft5 player who was in the top 2 in Europe when it came to aerial stats last year is probably a good indication that Moyes will make the most of his running ability.

We shall be back to Moyes’ preferred tactic of knocking everything into the box for the Big Man.

I’m excited for this signing. I love a tall mobile striker, seems like he’s got a ton of potential. Feels like a big swing having paid similar for Beto last year, but a swing we have to take. A great premier league striker remains the most difficult position in football to find.
I'm like you mate. I love my men to be tall and powerful. If they can play football too that's a massive turn on in my books.

Weirdly you didn’t have a problem with this tactic while 17th under the former manager.
