We've got government regulators of the water and rail industries, how's that going? I'm not sure why anybody thinks a government regulator will be effective.I was an advocate for independent Government regulation, after the total arse that masters and the pl have made of PSR and how they tried to kill Everton but let the scabs away with absolute murder.
Seriously having second thoughts now, and don’t think anything will really change, after the great start Tory boy kier and his cronies have made of running the country since getting in.
It's a Saudi Arabian funded competition (DAZN) makes it even more appalling with it being blood moneyPerhaps even worse is the fact that the prize money is so huge yet nobody cares about it. I don't know a single person who's been following it and I had no idea it was still going on.

Agreed, I think I was just hoping for better than the current corrupt nonsense we have. We've got government regulators of the water and rail industries, how's that going? I'm not sure why anybody thinks a government regulator will be effective.
The regulators have been absolutely toothless with the water companies. Thames Water have stripped tens of billions out of that company, saddled it with unmanageable and enormous debts, and have run the infrastructure into the ground. And what did the regulator do? Give them fines orders of magnitude less than the dividends they were pulling out of the company. Pathetic. The same will happen in football. A government regulator isn't going to stand up to the Abu Dhabi royal family, for example.Well for a start they may not have favourites, untouchable teams.
Thames Water have been awful, private companies are not always the answer they have to have regulators. The problem being are the regulators good enough and fit for purpose.

Or cause diplomatic tensions by investigating Saudi PIF dealings. Shouldn’t have been allowed to get to this stage. The same will happen in football. A government regulator isn't going to stand up to the Abu Dhabi royal family, for example.
I suppose the argument would be that a regulator might have blocked that takeover but the way Boris Johnson was crawling all over the Saudis at the time I really don't think that would've been the case.Or cause diplomatic tensions by investigating Saudi PIF dealings. Aye the government was clearly involved in pushing it through.I suppose the argument would be that a regulator might have blocked that takeover but the way Boris Johnson was crawling all over the Saudis at the time I really don't think that would've been the case.
Just another parasite on the bloated cadaver that was the beautiful game. We've got government regulators of the water and rail industries, how's that going? I'm not sure why anybody thinks a government regulator will be effective.
It will for sure ruin their season...no way they will be able to compete all season with such a quick turnaround. Of course this is chelsea we are talking about, so who knows they might sign 11 new fresh players.Just another cup entry that ruins domestic competition for every other fan of every other club. There should be no such ruinous prize money, it should be about the honour. Idiots.
This is exactly what they'll be able to do, with the cash and psr. Its why its ruins any real sporting competition. It will for sure ruin their season...no way they will be able to compete all season with such a quick turnaround. Of course this is chelsea we are talking about, so who knows they might sign 11 new fresh players.
