I would always question any goalkeeper between 22-30 that is happy to be number 2, especially if it’s in the same league and not stupid wages.

My concern with us making a move like this - if we did - versus your run-of-the-mill washed up deputy GK signing, is that it signifies JP might have expressed a desire to move on after this contract or something. God knows why he would, but got to have that in-built pessimism as blues, haven't we?

Travers isn't Bournemouth's number 1, he never has been really at the top level, they dropped him for Neto after about 2 games when they came up then when he left they got Kepa.

I can definitely see why you'd rather be number 2 in the PL than number 1 in the Championship. Probably better wages, prestige, facilities, coaching, job security etc. Especially for a keeper aswell, it's pretty normal.

Hopefully more players start arriving. Squad has desperately needed an overhaul for some time and the squad size is awful low.

I want to enjoy a season around midtable or higher and not be one injury away from disaster.
