Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

If we end up with a front 4 of for example:

Barry

N'Diaye Mcatee Kubo

It would be the most exciting forward line we've had since first year of Martinez.

Which is why the Evertonian in me Is sceptical and trying not to get too excited at the prospect ha ha
We ain’t ending up with that front 4
Not this season at least
Love the optimism however misplaced it is
That’s about 90 m on those 3 signings alone
We then need a RB cover for both full backs and cover for Gana plus a reserve goalkeeper

Brighton striker Evan Ferguson is a target for Roma this summer, according to Sky in Italy.

The Republic of Ireland international, who spent the second half of last season at West Ham, figures highly on their list of options up front.

They are weighing up a potential move for the 20-year-old, who was offered to them on loan.
Hope they don’t loan him to us if they do buy him

We'll see. I don't think money will be the issue especially when we're about to sell the stadium and women's team to further increase our psr headspace. Plus deals are amortised. So 90 million worth of players might only be 30 this window. Most clubs pay the majority of transfers on the drip now.

I also think we're quite rightly gonna apportion most of the funds to the top end of the pitch and midfield. The rest we'll cover.with loans (think we have something like 5 foreign and 2 domestic to play with?) frees, and lower transfer fees.

I do agree though with that some players we may lose out on due to our lack of European footy. So be it. For once it seems like we're showing some ambition.

Other than Barry and Alcaraz do you reckon we will sign anyone for any real money?

I think it will be loans, frees and re signings to make up the numbers.
Nah deffo not. Based on whom were being linked with I think decent fees for a winger and one for a centre mid. Then rest as you've said, maybe the odd low fees around the 10 million mark.

Key is with this stadium and women's team psr sale, if we have a season performance wise were we improve/ consolidate we should be able to spend decent again NEXT summer. Finding younger costlier long term solutions to the positions we've filled short term this summer (probably your full back/Gana successor).
