Wimbledon

I think you are misreading Sabalenkas game.

If you watch her regularly you’d realise she often battles through matches in this manner but her overall firepower sees her through. Every match , even against the top players, is on her racquet.

Her record supports that analysis.
I can't watch her regularly.

1) Earlier in her career she had major second serve issues. Same as Zverev.
2) Currently, we call her the shrieker. The most unnatural grunt since Azarenka. I'd watch her play a lot more if she rid herself of this.

But I prefer watching most of the other top women other than her for this reason.

Seems to me that sinner and Alcaraz are basically next Djokovic and Nadal. Who’s going to be Fed?
They are going to dominate for the foreseeable future. There is no third horse coming up that compares to them at the moment.

While Sinner is kind of a Djokovic type, we've never really seen anything like Alcaraz before. He has attributes of all of the Big 3, a remarkable player.

i think we can discount any opinions you have about her on the basis of those statements

Interesting comparison that.
Alcaraz, has that indefatigability of Djokovic. (Not seen the bloody mindedness and 'gamesmanship' yet though).
Can see the Nadal influence and clay court upbringing, certain shot selection and execution are incredibly similar.
Reminds me in terms of physique and manoeuvrability of Murray.
It's actually the Federer parallel I struggle most with, perhaps he sticks out a bit more because Djok and Sinner and a few other similar robotic types are about so fervently at the moment and so is the breath of fresh air that can live with and beat them.

He was levels above Norrie today.

Alcaraz is artful and not a robot. Plays weird feel shots all the time. @davek calls them trick shots like he's toying with a terrible British opponent, but it's more just this guy is out of this world from a feel perspective - much like Federer was.

We've never seen anything quite like Alcaraz before - the gracefulness and feel for the game of Fed, coupled with the sheer physicality of Joker and Nadal.

Sinner is really just a younger version of Joker when it comes down to it. Can go into lockdown mode and beat you that way.

Norrie is poor, Raducanu is poor, Kartal is poor

notihng more to be said really

I though Kartel was pretty decent until she didn’t turn up against that Russian.

The Russian looked unfit too but must have got a psychological advantage when she saw Kartel arrive on court with a heavily strapped knee… not a good look for a tennis player who’s strength is speed around the court.

Alcaraz's dominance is emerging.

But Fritz has the game on grass to hand Alcaraz his first real test at this Wimbledon.

If he gets past Fritz he's likely to face Djokovic rather than Sinner who has that elbow injury to contend with. Djokovic has a 5-3 head to head record over Alcaraz (and won 3 of their last 4 matches). Yes, Alcaraz beat Djokovic in the final last year but Novak was carrying a tear in his knee all the way through that Wimbledon and only got edged out by Alcaraz.

Age is obviously in the Spaniard's favour but I can see one last GS title looming here for Djokovic. If he gets past Sinner (who's handed him more problems than Alcaraz in the past) I'd back him to win again.
