Good thing rumors aren’t usually true thenBarry £27.5mil & McAtee £25mil would be £52.5mil and if rumours on fees and budgets are true, about half our transfer budget.
Who would be happy with that?

No way he’s £15m!£15m! Get it done!
He’ll cost more than £15 mill haha!
Talented player regardless, but if he’s a quarter as good as Bally get him signed.Would be a bit of a romantic signing, as he is the great-nephew of Alan Ball.
Yeh, far too cheap that likeNo way he’s £15m!
Looks like we've sold Goodison/the women's team so should have a bigger budget.Barry £27.5mil & McAtee £25mil would be £52.5mil and if rumours on fees and budgets are true, about half our transfer budget.

Blend in well with Harrison Armstrong a bit of youth in our midfield aided by the experience of GanaI really hope we get him.
Those same professionals who do this for a living have signed endless amounts of dross year after year. They get it wrong in the same way that we have opinions that might be right or wrong. I take your point and thank you for your patience in having to repeat yourself time and time again and will take your words of wisdom on board.I say this every time these things come up but we might not have known whether he was good enough, but clearly the professionals who make these decisions for a living did.
In it's most simple form the point is you don't just give every player in the world a go to see how good they are, you decide whether they're good enough based on all the data you've collected and the opinions you've formed from watching them in training and games over a long period. Either Tyrer will be good enough to be a PL number one or he won't, whether fans see him play in a pre-season friendly or not won't change which one is the case.
