Oh Dave behave, it's the scouting system as well that have identified him, Moyes will have gave it the nod, this lad is very highly rated and from what I've seen only the clips admittedly I've been impressed, fits the MO of every successful striker we've had. Tall, strong, fast and knows where the net is, give him a chance, he's not even signed yet.

I never said he was too old. Just that he has injuries and he's cracking on a bit.

Wood wouldn't let us down in that respect.

Knows where the net is, that's for sure.

I said on here when he was at Newcastle that we should have gone for him then, and I still think he could get another 2 seasons in the PL.

Think that was a freak season for wood be shocked if does the same again, dont think us many proven strikers in the league plus crazy prices esp in england. It is a punt on the lad but has shown talent,

I'd have had him 2 seasons ago...not now.

The fanbase would go bananas if Wood rocked up.

Also you'd have certain detractors of the Friedkins accusing them of penny pinching instead of backing the manager.

Hopefully this lad comes good but the jury is out.

Think is more would agree on players moyes wont have the time to be scouting players, will be asking for traits for the scouting team to look for. Club was meant to have agreed a price for webster at brighton but moyes prefered keane. Will be abit of both everything wont go moyes way but will have a big say
