Realistic Target for the 2025-26 season

What do you think our realistic target should be this season?

IMO we need to replace the likes of Forest and get on PAR with Villa and Newcastle, we are bigger than them all.

For me, we should look at reaching the Conference League and perhaps the Europa League. Throw in a decent cup and it should be a mint season.

Tough one, and depends on rest of the window obviously. As well as that no one knows how quickly we'll feel at home in the new ground.

The league is as strong as its ever been, gone are the days we'd expect to have routine home wins against 7/8 sides in the league.

Top 6 - City Arsenal Liverpool Chelsea Newcastle Villa

I expect Spurs to be in and around top 8 under Frank. If we can join the next bracket of teams - Brighton, Fulham & probably Palace who will be mid table - top half, for me that's where I'd expect us to be. Anything more is a bonus. But nothing wrong with aiming for more which I know Moyes will be!

Edit - plus no one knows how Man United will be, for me under Amorim they will never be a worry like...

Avoiding a relegation battle should be doable depending on the quality of what comes up. That leaves mid-table obscurity.

i like this approach , we should be bare minimum above palace/fulham and claw at brighton

As a club our target should be to get into the 7th-10th bracket. As a team it's impossible to say, because we haven't got one yet.

I don't want to be negative and its still early in the window, but I had to say bottom half, based on the team we have currently. We are weaker than we finished the season. I think Moyes is a better manager than Dyche by a million miles, but he does need some players.

If we finished 11th though I would still say its progress from 13th. I would like us to win at least 10 home games and be well away from the bottom 3.

If we manage to sign; CF, 2 RW, AM, CM, RB and reserve GK i might change my prediction.

Newcastle went from just surviving relegation to finishing fourth the next season in a span of two windows, so it’s defo doable.

I am not saying that we will finish that high in a couple of windows but we can only get better.
