2024/25 Jack Harrison

Don't really want him.....BUT if its a cheap squad filler than meh, may aswell.

We do need bodies I suppose.
Well we need able bodies for sure, but he doesn't really fit that.

The only good thing he does is he's got a phenomenal first touch, maybe he should've invested time in learning to do the rest of the football thing too.

His prem stats before last season were very decent. Im wondering if they are bielsa stats though. You can see why Villa were in for him at the same time.
Im undecided simply because we are so short on numbers. His crossing made my eyes bleed at times but we also won games with him in the side(havent checked stats for how many with him in).
If we were not so short on numbers. But then again is that a valid enough reason to be considering him.

I’m not staying he’s great but I do think the criticism of him is OTT at times.

We would be a half decent squad filler, if so I’d not be against it much like Keane’s new contract and general situation.
I sort of agree - I thought the worst when Ndiaye got injured against Liverpool. but he stepped in and plugged a hole and was part of the team that did much better. As a bench player in our current predicament we probably won't get much better...if we got a top notch starting right winger then I wouldn't mind the signing for a small fee. Ultimately if you could move Mcneill and Harrison to the bench...and have two upgrades in the 10/RW then it's a significant step up for us a side.

If it was cheap, sensible wages with a view to playing cup games and injury cover then maybe....

Although surely some of the younger players could do similar?

That's the point really. His attacking contribution was so minimal it's hard to fathom how a youngster wouldn't provide more, and with a higher ceiling.
