Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Just looking at his Brazil situation, mate, and I think it's imperative he gets his decision spot on. Carlo has used 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 so far and his competition looks like:

Bruno Guimaraes (Vital for Newcastle & captain. Vital for Brazil and will make the squad barring injury)
Casemiro (Quite frankly a shadow of his former self and looking leggy at United. His spot in the squad is very debatable. Ironically, Luiz COULD replace him at United)
Gerson (Flamengo captain but mostly plays out wide for them. A more versatile option than the previous two)
Andrey Santos (Brilliant prospect, ANOTHER with captain experience whilst at Strasbourg. Offers a goal threat greater than the previous. HUGE season for him like Douglas Luiz, though, because he'll be rotated at Chelsea all season if he stays)
Ederson (Incredibly versatile, ticks along nicely. Crucial season at Atalanta without Gasperini, though)

I mean, it's entirely possible he's already had Carlo in his ear about finding a new club. We got Richy the no.9 shirt for Brazil, why can't we help Luiz reinstatee himself?

I'm a big fan of Guimaraes (said we should sign him when he first was moving to Lyon) and Ederson, who is a driving force.

Andrey Santos and Douglas Luiz would be competing for the deeper role.

Douglas Luiz at under £30mil is a total no brainer if his muscluar injuries arent too bad.

If we were going to break our transfer record, i'd be after Andrey Santos. Chelsea have a massive squad and he'd be the statement signing to bring in a new era under TFG.

Either of them plus Wesley at Right back and we'd be optimistic for the future....not flat.

His wages are 162k Euros per week also, given the lower transfer fee he will be looking for more wages maybe (200k)

Don't we incorporate a wage structure now with Pickford, Branthwaite and Gana at the top of it? (130k?)

Not sure why a Brazilian international not being used by Juventus and wanting to play (id assume) would expect a pay rise over playing time?

If that was the case he'd command huge wages in Saudi.

Doesn't make total sense that they accept a sizeable loss , but suppose few mil off his book value from the initial t/fer so their total loss is less. If as it seems Kia has his grubby hands on it at least one person won't be losing anything on the deal.

What relevance is there that Kia Joorabchian is his agent?

He's previously stated that he pushed players to us (top players now) at low fees but Moshiri went for rubbish instead.

Second smallest squad in the top 5 leagues. Lots of work to do

If we are going to break our transfer record go get Nico Gonzalez.
