Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Brownhill is going to West Ham via ex #westhamemployee bloke, nutting out personal terms as we speak - not coming anywhere near here!
Hope that's not true, because it increases the chances of them deeming Soucek as surplus. Now Soucek does know where the back of the net is, but he's basically a slightly better Doucoure and makes Michael Keane look as dainty as a ballerina on the turn. There's no way Moyes doesn't go for him if he's available for a reasonable fee.

Gonna be honest, gonna get a bit antsy and the mattress could get a bit sodden if no new signings walk through the door this week.

We've surely (don't call me Shirley) had enough time to line a few deals up now.

I'm conceding Barry might no get confirmed as he's on hols. But someone has to be in this week.

You left out the lad who signed a contract until 2030 there mate....

He's probably our best player
Agree, I was talking about the gaps, really. The 2030 deal on JB is a green light for a 80m next season or whenever...

We've also wrapped up existing midfield 35yr old gueye til 2027.

Ripping up trees this window.

I agree... It's now 42 days till our 1st game of the season.

All players should be well rested and back in this week?

Really would like 2-3 new bodies in by the end of this week based on the size of the task ahead of us.

Be careful what you wish for. Nobody has signed Doucs yet.😉

If we use the yard stick we need about 9/10 in. I think need to see a good 4 of those done by the time we bugger off to America.

And ideally they should be the players we may consider starters like Striker, new right winger and maybe centre mid. So they can bed in as quick as possible. Other players could wait till later in the window

It certainly is, in that it’s extremely early in the window and already some people’s sheets are absolutely sopping wet.
It is not extremely early though, the players are already back in training so dropping a few signings in at the start of the season is not good planning. Why could the deals for Branthwaite and Gueye not have been executed at least 1 month earlier, when the dates the new contracts became effective could be set on July 1st? Is that asking too much? Liverpool and Chelsea (and usually Manure too) always manage to sign priority targets much earlier than us. We always play a game of brinkmanship and saving a few months on wages, this was not the year to do that.

Out of all the players City, Liverpool and Chelsea have bought so far this year it looks only Reijners is over 24.

That’s the route we should go down.
How many players over 24 have Chelsea bought since the new owners took over
But them young , 8 year contracts and sell them on if they don’t make the grade
They have to sell players this year for financial fair play and to enable them to register new players for Europe
