Has the club ever made any official statement on the steel painting work. Seems common knowledge that it was corroding or something, but seems like a major balls up by LOR, who’d seemingly done a top rate job across the board.

Been a further 6 months of follow up work, since handover.

I wonder who gets the bill in the end, not sure how it works.

Is that why they've had those sheets draped over different sections of the seats for a while? Maybe they're putting some kind of coating on the steel

If it was in the spec LOR. If it wasn’t in the spec the architect of other contractors contracted to design the steel.

I’d suggest it’s the other way round, if it was specified, then it would be HOK / BDM as the designer / specifier, if it wasn’t in the spec and part of the design and build element of LORs contract then it’s arguably on them, but even then they will have offered a technical submission to the design team saying we’re going to use this and they would have approved it still.
Either way won’t be Everton paying for it.

“ Was speaking to someone yesterday who said they had worked on the stadium, according to him the scaffolding that has been put up is something to do with the steel, whatever the steel has been coated with is peeling off. Another interesting thing he said was that it came as no surprise because the rumours were the company coating the steel had made a botched job because they were under pressure to get it done.”
