G.A.A. 2025.

Two All Irelands for him to look back on, but the team has looked very ordinary in the last two seasons.

Maybe time to go.
He owes Dublin GAA nothing and Dublin GAA owes him nothing. He inherited one of the great Dublin sides and wasn't able to halt the inevitable decline.

I wouldn't lay a whole lot of the blame at Farrell's door, Dublin are not producing enough good players at senior level despite the incredible talent at under age throughout the county. There is something not quite working at the development level in the county.

There is something amiss though with his preparation of the team. Far too much emphasis on the physical attribute and less attention to core skills. Poor passing and shooting has been a hallmark of this campaign from Dublin.

Probably a year or two early but Ger Brennan must be in with a shout.

Hugely disappointed with game yesterday, fair play to Tyrone they dug it out, but appositely felt Dublin should have won that game, poor, poor decisions, sloppy lazy play, unforced errors, indiscipline, lack of a plan around the rules, poor defending and frankly the lack of anything beyond a one dimensional game plan. There is enough talent in that team to have one the game yesterday and Dublin certainly had the opportunity and didn't take it. I can take a deafest when the better team won, but feel the hungrier and better organsied and more disciplined team won yesterday, feel we left it behind us - but that's on us, we didn't deserve it, it was a poor performance. Taking nothing away from Tyrone i dont think they were very good. Be a long winter in the Capital and alot of mulling being done i think by current and former players.

But look it was always a year of transition we've blooded a good few this year and feel important miles have gone on the clock of the likes of McGuinness, Breatnach, Clancy, POCB and a few others - that experience is vital, be another year or two before i feel we will be competing for Sam again - but we still have good players to be competitive. Doesnt look like thier is much coming through the age groups either, so we prob have reverted back to our mean really - after our once in a lifetime generation.

On Dessie, for me i think its time to go. He owes Dublin nothing 40 years of service, in one form or another and leaves as one of the most decorated managers in the history of Dublin GAA. Open disclosure though i have never been a fan of his as manager, i follow Dublin underage and the club scene and i have just never been a fan of how he sets up wis teams, very open and we will score more - Dublin underage were like that and so were his Na Finana team. A more pragmatic approach i think gets more over his stint with Dublin - also underage and Na Fianna. But look - two All Irelands is nothing to be sniffed at. Particularly 2023 and the last dance, was one of the sweetest of them all (though id put a lot of that down to Gilroys influence also). So Thanks Dessie great servant, but the time has come.

Where do we go from here, i guess we will be looking at the likes of Dec Darcy, Ger Brennen, Mick Bohan or maybe even Gilroy again. Left field pick would be Robbie Brennan maybe even Cluxton, doubt Jim Gavin would come back knowing him.

C'mon the Kingdom! Brilliant performance from Kerry there. It's been such a difficult season from struggling against Cork and even more recently Cavan not to mention the Meath game. Hopefully coming together at the right time...

That was some disaster class by McGeeney and Ethan Rafferty. Jack O'Connor schooled him with one simple switch was like Carlo Vs Dyche.
He'll talk about it doesn't happen for you some days etc but really 13 unanswered points in a 15 min spell directly from the keeper repeatedly passing to a man treble marked in your own defensive third in the same position, whilst others are in space is incompetence. Especially when playing Murnin at left-half back had been troublesome in the first half.
Kerry didn't even have to do much but take the simple scores.

Rafferty will have nightmares all winter mate.

Back to back is a tough gig. ;)

All Ireland Hurling Semi Final Weekend

Today - Cork v Dublin

Can we do it again? I am still smarting from 2013 when we were leading Cork by 5 at one stage, then Ryan O Dwyer got a second soft yellow and we were down to 14 for most of the second half

Still in it until Cork got a late messy goal that Dubs should have prevented.

Hoping for the best but we haven't beaten Cork in the Championship since 1927 when as underdogs we beat them in the Final.

Only one other Championship win over them, 1922 !!!

COYBIB!!!!!!

Dubs goal gives some hope after 3 goal blitz by Cork.

Dublin back line needs to get much tighter.

Cork winning midfield although Dublin not giving up.

8 points behind after 19 minutes though.

Four awful goals from the defensive point of view. All the hard work undone in those 4 moments.

4-11 to 1-11 4 minutes including added time.
