Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

There is simply no way a loan fee alone would cover the fee for the year. They are talking about 30 millions signing....that over 5 years would be a 6 millions hit on our psr not counting the wages. Nobody is paying that type of loan fee unless you are already a top recognise international player...welsey is not, yet.
I have no idea, just trying to work it out. This story sounds like a load of rubbish to me. But multi club model, so never know.

Moyes has been spotted at Anfield laying a wreath. Perhaps now he's back in the country, deals will progress more swiftly?
Out of respect, even if deals have been done they weren't going to say anything before the funeral. Ok we announced Keane but it was a pretty low key. Any major news will be next week, if already done. I don't think it matters if Moyes is here or not, he doesn't sort the contracts.

With transfer fee inflation he probably is. He’s an all-action player and would bring some dynamism to the midfield. Gana would be an ideal pattern for him.
Yeah I've seen worse fees than that TBH, whether or not it's something we would or could do is a different story. But we're playing 30m for a fairly unproven attacker, and paid 30m for Onana who was equally unproven really. Something about 40m for Gallagher who has proven quality isn't completely crazy
