Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi everybody. It's been a bit of a stressful day today. Chris was admitted to hospital last night with severe stomach pains. He had a scan, so obviously you can't help but think all sorts of bad things. Anyway to make a long story short, the scan showed bowel inflammation but nothing else. He's having an endoscopy tomorrow - the doctors think it is colitis which is a known side effect of immunotherapy. He's currently on IV steroids- which will probably delay his next round of treatment but everything seems to be manageable. The pain in his stomach has eased today so that's good too. So I feel much calmer than I did last night.
Pleased your new PC is finally on its way @Terrarian . I hope the tree work is completed @jazzy and peace is restored. Sorry about the races @Barnfred 55 I'm sure you still had fun.
Have a nice night folks x
I’m sorry you are having such a stressful time and sending love to you all. It sounds like they are on top of it and I hope he’s home and well soon.

Morning all, just a quick one, my PC will be here today before lunch, I wish I'd asked sooner lol going to have to have a rearrange of furniture and then the tedium of updates before you can do anything.

We've missed the high temps up here, it's still quite chilly.

Have a good one guys.

Oh Anj, one thing after another. You are all really going through the mill. Sounds as though the doctors are on top of things though. Sending love, positive thoughts and best wishes.💙

Hello all. Chris had an endoscopy today which did not reveal anything bad. They also took some biopsies- he will get the results in a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed for those. He's possibly staying in hospital over the weekend- it depends on the oncologist. At the moment he's still on steroids.
Not much else to tell you about. Lidl has been my highlight. 🤣It's like winter today. Rainy, windy, not nice at all.
No plans for the weekend either- I'm getting boring in my old age!
Have a lovely Friday all.

That’s good news. Well potentially being in hospital over the weekend isn’t good news but still.

You could start your own thread on the middle isle of Lidl. Sleeping bags and solar hedgehogs were side by side in the Armagh one today.

I booked a holiday for Barcelona/Cambrils today for later in the month which is something to look forward to. I’m tired as is it and need a break but Armagh losing last weekend has me wanting to leave the country 🤷‍♂️

Pleased the endoscopy results were good, hope the biopsies are clear too. The weather is still warm here, can we have some of your rain please? It rained on Wednesday, first time in weeks but barely wetted the pavement.

Evening all, good news about Chris’ endoscopy- I hope the good news keeps coming for you @anjelikaferrett . Glad to hear your computer has finally arrived @Terrarian . Sounds like a great holiday planned @Armaghtoffee, have you been before to that area?
Just watched a film - not a new one - about a battalion of black American women in WW2 who received terrible racial discrimination but who sorted out a big problem with the post called the Six Triple Eight which was really good.
Early night for me - in a moment of grandmotherly generosity I agreed to look after the baby in the morning while Josh and Beth get ready and pack the car up to go on holiday to Carbis Bay for a week. Then they told me they wanted to be leaving by 8 …
The rest of my Saturday will be spent helping out at a festival in Preston which is raising money for the dog rescue I am involved with so I’m hoping the weather bucks up as it’s currently hammering down here. I think I’m on the Tombola or the doggy lucky dip.
Have a great weekend everyone 💙

A very busy day for me …. and I seem to have developed a “ G&T Thursday “ habit that only @Barnfred 55 could approve of.
Cheers folks 🙂
I managed a pre dinner G&T tonight. Edinburgh gin. What else?😀. And very nice it was too but sadly without my preferred Fevertree tonic.

Cheers everyone. Hope you all have an enjoyable weekend. Back in my hotel room now as I have an early flight back home tomorrow.
