….i’ll prefer to compare it to last seasons squad, the loss of Doucoure is the difficult one to guage (I know posters generally thought he was poor, but he was an important member of the team). I’d be sure Barry will immediately improve our attacking threat.

Personally I have no concerns on the loss of Doucoure..... I think the only thing he generally brought to the squad was a level of intensity and press. I think Alcaraz has this in abundance.... we also add CM and a RW who have the same, along with Ndiaye and Barry I feel we are much better equipped.

I will be happy not to see attacks constantly broken down by Doucs.

He did a job whilst he was here fair enough, but feel we will be in a much better position for the upcoming season.

Wouldn’t agree with you there mate, be Keane all day long for me and to be honest im surprised he’s accepted the role.

He’s fine, he’s not even 25% as bad as the hyperbole on here in my opinion. Is he Branthwaite - no. Is he capable of coming in and contributing, yes, we’ve seen that with important goals and when JT got injured at the tail end of the season. He’s fine and fine is our aim for that role - while also being a good value proposition.

I agree with you mate Keane is a much better player than most think on this forum, he gets far to much stick and is a scapegoat for most fans on here, get off his back and leave him alone.

JB and Gueye resigning are massive massive moves for us. Get Barry boxed off along with Alcaraz and it’s a decent window so far.

They’ve been knocked back from signing Tete and Delap so clearly they’re trying to get things done.

CM and RW needed, but starting to trust they’ll get who they want and not pay massively over odds
