Recently sold internally within the Group.
Private company to private company so doesn’t require any external disclosure.
I expect it will come out eventually.

I was surprised we didn’t have to sell any players in the last year
I am sure i read somewhere villa sold the women's team for £55m but I could be wrong.

Italian press are saying we will sign Wesley then loan to Roma for 2 seasons with an obligation to buy after that for an inflated amount...

So we make a tidy profit and it means they get him and sign after their 2 year UEFA monitoring period

Exactly. It would be a scam and everyone would know it because it is too obvious

I did suspect it would already be done. Like you say no obligation to disclose, and other clubs haven’t been doing so, it’s just been caught by the press.

Hope they have maxed the valuation and additional funds are available this summer.

We can conclude on how TFG perform in the transfer market at the end of the window.

They definitely deserve credit for quietly and efficiently selling the women’s team including GP.
Whether that was to help the recent PSR year or to provide transfer headroom for the new PSR year, we will see (probably a bit of both).

We think its been done then................we probably wont find out until next March.

Agree.

At the recent premier league meeting the clubs didn’t even bother voting on closing the “related party sale” loophole.
Apparently it was obvious that the other clubs didn’t want Chelsea to benefit and nobody else.
Looks like Villa and ourselves were next in line. I’m sure there’ll be others.
The timing is ideal for us as it helps manage the transition from GP to BMD.

Only point to note is that these type of transactions are banned by UEFA for FFP purposes.
Therefore Chelsea and Villa may have issues and receive fines from UEFA.

Was telling the PL vote mate - it also left the door open for other assets to be sold.

Be interesting to see where in the group its ended up mate. Villa i think did a mix of selling to a holding company in their stable and looked for to sell 10% of their women team externally - Villa are no strangers to this - they sold Villa par k to their holding company as well a few years back.

I really believe in the next 10 years their is going to be huge growth n the Women's game, its also clear its something we are actively cultivating, i dont see the sale as inconsequential as years go by i think it will wash its own face and more in terms of revenue - so were it ends up from an ownership point of view will be interesting - conceivably and hypotactically could TFG sell Everton FC and BMD in the future and continue to hold Everton Women and Goodison or vice versa are they now sperate entities within the one stable.
