Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Would have to be a gana replacement.

Players like that leave gaps that other teams exploit so having him and gana in the team would be a absolutely kamikaze style midfield.

Would need a proper number 6 to sit while he pressed. Which im all for a younger gana whos comfortable on the ball and can pass would he a amazing signing

According to the article i posted, hes been playing as a 6 for Genoa this season. The prior season box to box. Before that a mix of the 2.

I have absolutely no idea to be honest. There needs to be really with everything that needs doing, but I won't pretend to have the faintest idea how much we're likely to be able to spend. As I said though, the moves made so far strongly suggest that funds are relatively limited, if we had the money for a complete overhaul it would very odd to try to keep all the old guard and add journeyman freebies in key positions. I think that's all that was being said initially but some people to have taken it as a suggestion that we're completely penniless.

If were spending the kind of money on Barry as mooted, we 'should' have similar for 2 other positions.

At least that should be the minimum id expect.

If we are assuming Barry is a done deal(ish) then what's next? Surely a RW is a must buy.

Next I think will be a back up full back and a back up keeper.

Wouldn’t a better method on here be to just wait until a player is signed and then discuss the hell out of him and what he may bring, where he may fit in and how he will fail? It’s why I’ve never got the info thirst, what would being a day or two ahead of transfer news make such a big deal? And most of it is pages wasted on players who will not even sign for Everton.

Go and enjoy summer pals and just wait until you see a new player in their blue wavy shirt and then come on here and say your stuff.

Silly billy! We have individual threads for that :)

Actually, we were/are if Gana doesn't sign
Let me try to put the Fred nonsense to rest.

The only sources for the rumor are:
1. Turkish media
2. Second-rate aggregators

There are no legitimate sources for the rumor. I'm not sure there's been even a passing mention from a tier 5 source.

But if that's not enough, consider this: if Everton were so desperate to shore up midfield, why would they consider gambling millions on a 32 year old — no matter how well he's doing in the sub-MLS-level Turkish SuperLig — when they already offered 32 year old Abdoulaye Doucouré a reduced wage and then let him walk away?

I do not believe for a second that we're in the business of paying a fee to bring in an aging player who's coasting in a lower league. There are so many younger midfielders of a similar profile who could be purchased for the same fee who would make more sense. If the money is there to spend, who would spend it this way?

No one. But who would write about it as if it made sense? The Turkish press, because Fred's agent is shopping him, and aggregators and clickbait sites taking the bait.

So from that post I assume he's signing ? Right ?

You reckon you could run 6/7 miles per game, put in intensive sprints, press and maintain concentration? Didn’t think so

and no, I’m not fun at parties
No Busk, I could probably run 6/7 metres per game and be put into shin splints, then I’d start emptying my innards out onto the pitch, it would still equate to running my guts out though 😜
