Again... who keeps saying it's limited? We have lots of new sponsorship deals in place for this years accounts. nobody knows the full value of them.
PSR is a 3 year rolling window. Big improvements to our current year finances clearly help, but don't have any impact on the 2 earlier years.

We might well have much more money available to spend, but the question is do the rules allow us to spend it

of course another option is that we just want Wesley because we need a Right Back.

And the Italians have put 2+2 and got 5 because Gasperini had wanted him at Atalanta and because TFG own both of us

Why would anyone be surprised at a football club ownership group using its network of clubs to funnel a player to a club of theirs most likely to succeed in the near future from another club they own who aren't likely to succeed in the near future?

Having TFG as owners means dealing with and putting up with stuff like this.

Has anyone thought that, we want this right back but will have work permit problems, so to solve it work in Italy for 12 months then we get our man.

I could be wrong on this and we are a feeder club for Roma? only time will tell

We won't be a feeder club, bloody hell, what is wrong with people. We wouldn't stand for it and taking our best players would ultimately put us back down the bottom. This competition has way way way more money flying around than Serie A so it would be stupidity too have us losing places in the table.

If they take us back to a place of prestige, then they'll make more money.

Agree

We are told funds are still going to be limited for a year or two more. So if we don't believe a player is ready to play in the premier league, then we really should not be spending £30m to sign them. That's not a sensible move when the squad is so low on numbers.

Just out of curiosity who has told"us".

We have no idea what the transfer kitty/PSR headroom is.

Let us just see how it all plays out.
We might now be run by a professional outfit who know what they are doing and Moyes is all in on the plan.

It might all become clearer once it’s established what the plan is for Goodison/women’s team/the new companies that have been set up

Our PSR is fine? no idea why people are saying it's no good. Could be a few reasons we are doing it.

We want him... just not yet
We are planning on selling the womens team which gives us loads of capacity
we buy him (£6m from this years accounts) and then sell to Roma by 30th June 26 and that gives us £30m in PSR.
That's what we keep hearing from the fans and the media in relation to our psr...including from the club through the traditional itks...no doubt it will be mentioned by moyes in his first press conference, something along the line that we are not out of the woods and that we need to be careful. But I am with you, if there is a will, there is a way....Chelsea has shown it.

The financial gains from success in the Premier League will dwarf those in Serie A. We won’t be a feeder. There will be synergies for sure, but they would have taken over a much smaller PL club with much less debt if they simply wanted a PL franchise to tip along. We’ll be one of two major flagships for them.

I think , like the owners of most clubs , it is the prestige of competing at the highest level of European football that is the aim.
Currently this is more likely to be achieved
with Roma .
Ultimately we are governed by a corporate entity now and our aims and aspirations are subject to the aims and aspirations of the group .
